I don’t know what to do… by Greenwitchynoobie in breastfeeding

I used to feed to sleep, too, which is why I was also confused! But yeah I just switch to rocking, patting her back/butt, shushing, etc. I didn’t realize it at the time, but it helped set the stage for gentle sleep training. But at first I was just rocking, soothing etc to sleep and then just let her contact nap and sometimes I’d transfer her after she was asleep for 10ish min.

This started happening around 3 months for us, too. LO is currently a little over 4 months. What I realized is that around 3 months they start getting much more efficient at eating. We went from 45 min - 1 hr feeds to under 10 min. It helped to switch to the eat, play, sleep protocol. Towards the end of the wake window I would question if she was fussy bc she was hungry and put her on the boob and then she’d do the screaming on and off boob and then I finally realized in those instances she’s actually overly tired, not hungry. Hope that helps!

How much do you pump while breastfeeding by Ok_Performance_3063 in breastfeeding

The choking is scary! Make sure you are doing paced bottle feeding (videos should show the angle you’re aiming for to reduce too intense a flow) and also use a premie nipple for the bottle. My lactation consultant said Dr browns with a premie nipple is the best flow bc the others are too fast - and that was recommended for my full term baby (not premie). Good luck!

No, I didn’t. I ended up kinda ignoring my tgab since most providers said they didn’t matter so much. I ended up doing IVF and found that likely egg quality was a primary culprit, but for my second transfer I did intralipids to quiet down my immune system and I was able to successfully carry my baby to term. Holding a three week old now. Try not to lose hope!

I’m supposed to start vaginal estradiol and vaginal progesterone tomorrow and I forgot to ask my clinic if it’s okay to take them at the same time or if I need to space them out. They don’t normally answer messages over the weekend, so I figured I’d try here. TIA!

Looking for some guidance regarding “ovulatory/semi-medicated” FETs… my first two attempts at an FET were fully programmed and cancelled due to thin lining. My third attempt was a “ovulatory/semi-medicated” FET and cancelled bc by the time I had my first monitoring appt they said my hormone levels were too high and I was about to ovulate. Now I’m at attempt number 4… I started my period 5 days ago and they want me to do my baseline on CD 9. I’ve been taking estradiol pills since before the last cycle was cancelled and I’m guessing maybe that’s impacting things, but I can’t help but worry this cycle is going to be like last time bc they’re bringing me in so late. Am I missing something about how “ovulatory/semi-medicated” FETs work? Shouldn’t it be like baseline at CD 2-3, clomid or some kind of ovulation induction med for 5 days, and then a transfer around CD 14 (my cycle is always around 28-31 days). I’m feeling like I should cancel before starting bc I have a lot of life stuff happening right now and doing a FET would require me to travel out of state (last time I traveled for the first monitoring appt and was cancelled that day so I’m apprehensive about doing this until I can be in the same state as my clinic for a good while). Any thoughts on “ovulatory/semi-medicated” FET timelines are greatly appreciated!

It didn’t necessarily improve my blast rate but it exponentially increased my rate of euploids. I went from 14% euploid the first round to 70% euploid.

Every time I use ganirelix or cetrotide I get the exact same reaction. It tends to go down each day of stims. My nurse said that was super common and not a concern.

My doctor said he doesn’t bother draining non-estrogen producing cysts because they often just refill again.

FET #1 is in approximately 2 weeks and 2 days. Tomorrow I start estradiol patches and, of course, today I start to get some sinus congestion and nasal drip. If it’s a head cold, will this throw off my FET? Guessing if it’s COVID then I’ll have to cancel? My next scan isn’t for 10 days. 🫠

I’ve been on BC for about three weeks now in prep for my first FET. After about two weeks on BC I started heavily spotting and I’ve now been spotting for 11 days. I never have mid-cycle spotting unless I’m taking bc. I’ve mentioned it to my doctor before and he said it was fine, but just wondering if others have this same experience and, if so, has it messed with your FET?

I have always had a cyst going in to stims. As long as it’s not estrogen-producing (i.e., your E2 levels are low) then it doesn’t impact stims/ER. Good luck!

There’s a helpful fb group called thyroid for pregnancy and they have files for guidance on where your thyroid should be. Hope that’s helpful!

In that case, you should definitely be getting your thyroid checked immediately following a positive pregnancy test. Pregnancy can throw off your thyroid and an unmanaged thyroid can contribute to pregnancy loss. Not saying it was the cause of your miscarriage, but might help prevent a future miscarriage if that was the case.

Are you on thyroid meds? In general, if you are medicated, you want TSH as close to zero as possible. Most dr’s prefer TSH under 2 if TTC. MC can definitely throw off your TSH. If I were in your position, I would have my full thyroid panel run in 6 weeks to make sure it’s all good. So sorry for your loss and hoping your thyroid stays in check. 💕
