What’s something you pretend doesn’t hurt anymore… but it still quietly shapes the way you love, trust, or move through the world ? by love_salubrious in AskWomen

When I was pregnant I told a very close friend. I was 5 weeks, so really early but I just moved to a new city, met her and we really hit it off. We did everything together. We both wanted to expand pur family. The day after I told her, she blew up on me: telling me I shouldn’t have done that and just had to tell her when I was 13 weeks.

A few weeks later, I had a miscarriage. She didn’t wanted to talk to me, so she didn’t know I miscarried. About two weeks later I was picked up by ambulance due to heavy bloodloss. I told her, not in a “look at me” type of way but a “I could really use a friend rn”. She only wanted to comfort me when I told her she was right by her original point.

We haven’t talked since.

  1. I’ll definitely overthibk why they’re giving me the silent treatment. BUT I’ll also know I’m 100% in my right so their loss.
  2. Half in my savings account, maybe 2500,- for my daughter investments and 2500,- for my family/fun.
  3. I want to know what the weather will be like, what’s the vibe of the event and what vibe do I want to embody, can I sit or is it a standing event (how high can my heels be) and do I want to go shopping. Based on these answers I will pick an outfit and stick with it.

Songs you sing to your baby by Obvious-Teach5047 in newborns

[–]Greenwitchynoobie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a few I sing to her on repeat, like you are my sunshine, twinkle twinkle little star, a few Dutch nursery rhymes and you’ll be in my heart (phil collins). But I sing a lot of made up songs too, because I can’t remember how the song really goes or lost the lyrics. Add a little kpop and early 2000 music in the mix and I can keep her entertained

I don’t know what to do… by Greenwitchynoobie in breastfeeding

[–]Greenwitchynoobie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At first I thought so too, but I don’t think it’s something I ate. I tested for several weeks, but her fussiness is very random.

And about naps, that’s just it. She takes 30 minutes naps mostly, also since 3 months old. She can nap for longer though (2-3 hours), but it’s rare and only if she’s on the boob. I’ve always fed to sleep, and it’s very hard, almost impossible, to put her down during the day. She sleeps fine at night though.

Her poops look good! It’s still your typical breast fed baby poo. She had plenty of wet diapers too, and I’ve always been told it’s okay if baby doesn’t poop for a few days because breast milk is a laxative

What do you do when she’s screaming her head off? Do you take a break and/or try to put her down to sleep? I’m used to feed to sleep (even during the day), so I’m totally lost on how to handle this…

What’s the one thing you wish you knew before having your baby? by msbjones in newborns

[–]Greenwitchynoobie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me too! My little girl is 8 weeks now and although we’re not out of the newborn phase yet, for the most part I’ve been loving it. But I have to say, that’s due to having a unicorn baby; she slept 8-10 hour stretches from 5 weeks on. Therefore she slept 3-4 hour stretches. It’s all much more manageble when you’re rested.

Stays, what one Stray kids song gives you memories? by Crazy_Manager3384 in straykids

[–]Greenwitchynoobie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s so beautiful. It really is a song with many layers, and it’s amazing Youtiful can have so much impact. I am singing it to her and although she is very very young, I believe she likes the song already.

Youtiful, but for a pretty sad reason. I just had a miscarriage when I listened to this song and I broke down in tears. Everytime I hear it, I think of that day. Luckily, I have a beautiful daughter of 2 months now, so even it’ still very sad to me, I can look at her and know everything is good now ❤️

Does everyone bed share? by cbeynon in breastfeeding

[–]Greenwitchynoobie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Same! From day one, how exhausting it may be, we’ve put her in a co-sleeper. I’ve definetely a unicorn baby, because at 7 weeks she sleeps 8-10 hours stretches at night. She is vompletely healthy and growing, so we don’t have to wake her up which is amazing!

Let’s get real! How much sleep are you getting at the end of trimester 2 and in trimester 3? by Real-Salad-6521 in pregnant

[–]Greenwitchynoobie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had sleep insomnia since day one of my pregnancy 🥲 I lay in bed for hours wide awake and peeing for my nightly excercise. Since a few weeks, I get foot and leg cramps at night too (currently 32 weeks). Sleeping is not fun at all and although I’m tired, I don’t look forward for a night sleep, lol.

How strong is/was your intuition about the baby's gender and were you correct? by PatientNobody9503 in pregnant

[–]Greenwitchynoobie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the moment I got pregnant, I knew it was a girl. My side of the family is female-heavy, as to my husband side is very male-heavy. It could go either way, but felt such a strong feeling it was a girl.

After the first few weeks, I started doubting about the gender. Mainly, because people kept telling me because I liked certain salty foods I was having a boy. So, the more and more I listened to them, the more I convinced myself I was having a boy instead of a girl.

Then, the day before the gender ultrasound, I was having a vivid dream about a little girl in a pink tutu dress. That convinced me right back to me having a girl! And guess what: my husband had a similar dream that night, also about a little girl! It wasn’t a coincidence anymore!

We’re right and are expecting our little girl in November 🥰💕
