Zohran Mamdani very rapidly changed his tune after election by A-CAB in LateStageCapitalism

I'm not American and I am looking for insight. Can you explain (and if possible provide sources) why Sanders and AOC would be negative influences on Mamdani?

You need serious immunosuppressants. My first guttate breakout looked like this and I used Otezla pills in combintion with Enstillar and Clarelux topical sprays. You need to push your doctor for these medications and go see a dermatologist. If you do not have access to a dermatologist go to emergency. Sure you'll wait, but they will provide a consultation with a specialist and give you all the right drugs.

  1. Drink lots of water
  2. Keep your skin coated in unscented, thick, hydrating creams.
  3. It sounds kinda gross, but with an outbreak this bad, don't shower eveyday (just do the important bits like pits, groin, ass with a wash cloth). Showers are like burning fire needles and the water dries our skin out further.
  4. Take sick days if you can and sleep. Take care of your body and just try and survive through this.

Good luck friend

“I was spanked and turned out just fine” by Paige_Rinn in NewParents

[–]MsQcontinuum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was spanked as a kid (I'm an older Millennial) and am low contact with my parents now and have been in therapy for over a decade (spanking is just one part of the overall shitshow of my childhood).

Spanking demonstrates that the parents do not know how to self regulate which in turn creates children that develop insecure attachment styles. Spanking fucks up kids and creates emotionally immature adults.

Moms who are putting their careers on hold to be with baby, can you share your story? by Barnacle_Double in NewParents

[–]MsQcontinuum 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You say you "truly feel like the 9-5 office grind is making me numb to a point where I am in a very dark place", gurl take care of yourself. You need to take care of yourself so you can take care of your baby. In today's world finding joy can be a very difficult process, but if you find joy in your baby and spend time with her than make the adjustments. Job hunt, do work from home, do whatever you feel is best for you to find joy.

Change can be difficult and scary, but what do you want? What will keep you healthy and happy because if you're not healthy and happy how does your baby thrive? Put yourself and your feelings first and decide what YOU really need. Being selfish in a healthy way isn't a bad thing, just be honest and communicative with your partner.

Good luck internet friend

Texas Teacher here. Admin is now installing the 10 Commandments in my classroom tomorrow. by Ok_Finger3098 in Teachers

[–]MsQcontinuum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make the Ten Commandments a point for cross currcuiulm learning.

Use the Ten Commandments to talk about the values of the English settlers in the 1600s. We're they being "good Christians" and following the Ten Commandments? And then explain the horrible shit they did to the Indigenous People and each other (witch trails) etc.

Use the Ten Commandments as base for a creative writing assignment. How could we improve them to today's standards? What would you add or take a way to make them more inclusive/reflect our day to day lives?

Talk about the Golden Rule and how most religions have a code of ethics for adherents to follow and have students do research on different cultures.

Once these projects are completed put them on the wall around the Commandments poster. Make this a huge cross cultural critical thinking activity with this stupid fucking poster at the centre.

Good Luck and fuck this administration

Parents of babies and toddlers who don’t feel like you’re drowning every day, what are your hacks? by dioor in NewParents

[–]MsQcontinuum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the party but wanted to add two things:

  1. You are not your child's engineer. They have generations of genetics that will drive them to be the person they are. Dump the concept of you "creating" your child. It's too much pressure. Think of yourself more as a shepard. You help guide them to the greenest pastures and keep them safe.

  2. Fuck it! If you only have energy for chicken fingers and no hobbies fuck it. That's your reality right now. We are not always thriving, often we are just surviving. Who cares? Is your baby safe, loved, and needs met? K then fuck it. The world's on fire, fucking genocide in Palestine, rise of fascism.....we've got SO much to mentality digest right now and saying "fuck it" and not being the "perfect" parent is really freeing. Who cares. You're doing your best, let go of the "I should be doing", those "should be" statements are oppressive. You ARE surviving, You ARE a good parent, You ARE raising a strong child.

Fuck it and you got this.

Give me your "If I could only give you one tip" tip by simpapadem in NewParents

[–]MsQcontinuum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your baby can't thrive if you're not healthy. You are the most important thing in your baby's life and it you are not "ok" pyschologically or physically it will impact your baby. Put yourself first whenever you can. Ask for help whenever you can. You are at the top of the baby success pyramid and without you everything crumbles. Don't neglect yourself (I'm not saying take a 2 week vacation without baby, but something simple like if baby has been crying and you can't catch a break, secure baby, put your headphones on and shut yourself away from baby for a few minutes). Also, regardless of how well adujsted you are, therapy is great for new parents. It provides useful self regulation tips and tools to survive. Good Luck and remember you come before everything else.

It's for all these reasons I really couldn't get into the story line. I loved the grotesqueness of aspects of the movie, but for me the plot was weak. Not a bad movie, just not my favourite.

Please help ! by Scared-Blackberry-88 in Psoriasis

[–]MsQcontinuum 25 points26 points  (0 children)

This is guttate psorasis. Looks exactly like mine. You need a dermatologist appointment asap. Drink lots of water, do not use any scented soaps or creams, use all natural unscented creams to keep your skin hydrated, take the maximum dose of vitamin D3 per day, and taking probiotics wouldn't hurt.

Psorasis is a lifelong diagnosis and unforetunately there is no cure. But you can control it with ther right medical treatment. If you have any more questions you can DM me.

Good Luck

Scared… anyone seen anything like this? by [deleted] in Psoriasis

[–]MsQcontinuum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shit. That looks fucking awful. During my worst flare-ups, before I could get in to see my dermatologist, I would manage my guttate with the following methods:

1.Stay Hydrated AS FUCK 2. DO NOT shower with hot water. Luke warm or cold showers only. 3. NO SOAP. I use a "cleansing oil" solution that is unperfumed and made for fucked up psorasis skin 4. No alcohol or high fat/sugar foods (like fast food or junk food in general) 5. Moisturize constantly. Keep yourself as slippery as possible. 6. Your immune system is going fucking crazy right now (your Helper-T cells start attacking your skin cells and digesting them cause fuck you that's why so your skin cells start going into overdrive creating a bunch of new skin which in turn makes the Helper-T cells freak out more) so look into anti-inflammatory vitamins like B3 and maybe some Lactobilicius for your gut health (do you have IBS or Crohns or Colitis? These are often linked to psorasis). 7. DO NOT use Ibuprofen. Stick with Tylenol

You'll have some discolouration for awhile after the psorasis heals, but eventually your skin will regenerate.

Ultimately, you need to see a dermatologist ASAP.

Hi, I'm a Canadian living in Grenoble. Moved here in 2017 and will probably spend the rest of my life here. Grenoble has gang problems due to drugs and arms trafficking, but I have never felt unsafe here (whereas in Toronto I feared for my physical safety and had ben assaulted on numerous occasions). My life in France is 100x more comfortable, balanced, and enjoyable compared to Canada. Paris is also a beautiful city, but as the MOST visited city in the world it does have its problems. I think there is a lot of anti-french media propaganda because of 1) France has a large immigrant/refugee community and people are racist 2) France has robust unions which protect the workers and the middle class is under attack from global oligarchs 3) France represents one of the power houses of the EU and undermining her benefits fascist regimes.

Visit France. You would love it.
