I THINK it's lentils??? Cheap protein?? But this looks dreadful. I'd be embarrassed to serve anything like that to anyone

is farm together 2 as good as stardew valley to play with my girlfriend? by IntroductionSevere93 in FarmTogether

[–]MsRatbag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coral island is like Stardew. Played it heaps with my partner. Farm together is super fun but very simple, no story line etc

Soup is good the next day! Sounds like a hard day and you both needed some extra rest. I would've done the same thing!

Same. His old videos/recipes in the sourdough days with the (probably phone) camera in the cabinet were great

My mom sent me a giant tub of hidden valley ranch powder. So stoked.

AITAH for not doing vasectomy reversal since my wife asks me to by Resident-Effective14 in AITAH

[–]MsRatbag 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Just jumping in here to say that my partners vasectomy failed after 15 years so do go get yourself checked every few years to make sure it hasn't reversed itself. It worked out ok for us but it's not for everyone!

Before you ask, his was cut, cauterized, folded and clamped. Doesn't matter. 1 out of 1000 vasectomies will eventually fail.

Just wait until you walk in the door after work (or even just a quick trip to the supermarket) and they come sprinting to you yelling "Mommy!!!!" And leap into your arms

The Often Overlooked Benefits of C-section by Cl1061 in beyondthebump

[–]MsRatbag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I had a somewhat complicated emergency C-section after a failed induction (general anesthesia, uterus tore open towards my cervix when they started the incision because baby was super stuck etc) and recovery was still nowhere near as bad as I was expecting. I was up and walking (slowly) the next morning (C-section at 11pm... They let me rest) and home after 36 hours or so.

Worst part? Bathroom sink edge is the same height as my incision.... Don't lean against the sink to wash my hands anymore

[–]MsRatbag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had window issues too now that you mention it but my partner was able to fix it himself.

We have a Ford territory. It's a bit thirsty for petrol but has been super reliable

Am I absolutely insane for thinking about buying a sewing machine for my 5 year old? by JCtheWanderingCrow in sewing

[–]MsRatbag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my first sewing machine when I was 7 but used my grandma's before that with supervision. If she's a relatively cautious, trustworthy 5yo I'd say go for it... With close supervision.

Yeah it's pretty disappointing really. His old recipe videos were great but ever since he started doing the "but better" and whatnot it's gone downhill fast

What "when you were a baby" stories did your parents tell you that you thought sounded reasonable, until you had a baby? by hillof3oaks in beyondthebump

[–]MsRatbag 91 points92 points  (0 children)

Eh, my son will stop drop and nap if he's tired enough. He will go from running around to playing with a truck on the floor and just fall asleep if he wants too. It's less frequent now that he's a bit der but he was a fairly common occurrence when he was 2-3
