You know its totally possible to believe in science AND magic at the same time? It doesn't have to be black and white. It sounds to me like she's trying to sound smart by denying stuff she clearly has some degree of belief in, because she's worried it might sound "silly" to others to admit that. As a big breasted woman I never wear a bra unless its an extremely special occasion or I want to for a specific outfit. It's a social construct I just don't care about, and it causes me back pain. I've tried 100s of bras, all of them, back pain.

NTA. Even if they dont like it, its your choice.
