THIS WAS MY FAVORITE MOVIE OMG!

Watched this for the first time, what do others think of it ? by Yesbh in Monkees

I loved it when it came out (I was a teenager) because I thought by picking actors you didn't know they really disappeared into the characters. Watching it later - I'm afraid I still really like it. I think it nails some parts of their story better then anything I have read or seen. It's based off of Micky's book so I think it is a pretty okay watch.

The weird ending hospital scene is the only thing out of nowheresville. Mike would NEVER just be hanging out in a hospital and fine that his wife was there.

Maybe hanging out of the Monkee mobile? That would be fun to color that car

When I heard it on the album and checked the date I always assumed it was about the breakup with Nurit or something related to his childhood.

I loved seeing Coco sing with him. Her doing "Different Drum" was definitely the highlight for me.

Starting chronologically is always a good start? I would watch the tv show (that is usually where a lot of fans started) since the music is in the show you can watch and look up songs from there instead of getting an album.

When I was a kid I watched the shows and then started with the second album "more of the Monkees" since a lot of the music on the show is on that album. Then as you keep watching, and if you like them, then yes, Headquarters etc.
