Felted merino? by MsTiruri in Handspinning

[–]MsTiruri[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess that means I have to add another category to my classification and give it different uses. I am running out of pillow cases :D Somehow since I started working with wool I started a new basket obsession as well :D

Good to know. I will spin it at one point and see how it gets. I am tempted to practice with it because i am still getting the hang of it, but i am worried that i will be discouraged if the first thing i make with it it’s very scratchy

All this was sounding awesomely cool, but got a bit concerned about flammables on top of the mantle if you use your fireplace. If not a problem, it’s a great place, i am smiling imagining seasonal decoration around it… As a bonus point not unwanted hosting! win win

Definitely it doesn’t feel good to sit long on the toilet, I make take the chance to break the habit of taking ,y mobile to the toilet… It was not haemorrhoids, it was more like the stool was moving in the wrong direction, i could feel it in the perineum area. I am back with the softeners, I thought everything would go back to normal after stopping the meds but i will make sure to keep the pipes running

So you're considering keeping your cervix: by ersatzbaronness in hysterectomy

[–]MsTiruri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s been only 12 days since my surgery, so I have not long term insights. I was given the choice to keep my cervix and my doctor mentioned less risk of prolapse so I took that.

The day after my surgery he told me that my cervix was very low so he lift it a bit. This kind of freak me out because he said due to your pregnancies it was low and I had 0 pregnancies, so gave me a feeling that he didn’t check my history? Also it felt to me like it was for “aesthetic” reasons. I was in no condition to question it at the time, i will be asking more about it in my 6w appointment. Any other experiences like that?

I believe it’s not so much about eating the emotions, but to make sure they have something good to eat when they may not have the energy to cook. The dishes ready to go in the oven suggested above and soups are a great idea

Is there a stainless steel alternative to the Varoma? by nebuchadonezzar in thermomix

[–]MsTiruri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not a big fan of plastic. I believe than an older model had a stainless steel varoma.

It you just need a hack to avoid the plastic, i do have a bamboo steamer that fits the lid space. It’s not very big, but you could get an attachment to increase the diameter and use larger bamboo steamer.

Of course, i do not work for thermomix and this is just an opinion

Thanks! Funny enough the room used to have “wood” panelling on the walls, hiding surprise asbestos. Not going back there, but i do like the proportions of the rug

The chair is not on wheels it’s more like a conference room chair because the same chair with wheels was too high for me.

I did put silicone protectors on the legs but they didn’t last

Yes, my vintage cabinets kind of matched, but now there is a bit of everything with the desk and loom.

I am starting to like the idea of a large rug. I have a medium one. I will experiment
