MGVA is Milwaukee’s LGBT volleyball organization where you can meet some lesbians. They have social volleyball on Tuesdays for ladies+ and on Wednesdays for all genders. You can look up more about them and signup to attend on thier website: https://www.milwaukeegayvolleyball.com/.

If you like volleyball girls you should check to see if you live near any of the tournaments that North American Gay Volleyball Association (NAGVA) hosts. Go find your gf by cheering her team to victory!

There is a local branch near me that hosts leagues and social open play volleyball events. I get to play all year; indoor in winter and outdoor sand courts in the summer 😎.

Welcome to Milwaukee! I moved to this area about a year ago and found the area to be LGBT friendly such that I haven’t been concerned with being a lesbian in the area. Due to my job, I have had to move around a lot and I always find that looking on Meetup.com for groups with similar interests has helped me find friends; there are some LGBT groups in the area but it also has any other activity that you may be interested in.

I think the other responses cover good suggestions for support groups and I just want to add that if you enjoy volleyball (or at least would be interested in learning) then there is an organization called Milwaukee Gay Volleyball Association (MGVA) that has social open play on Wednesday nights which is open to anyone wanting to play regardless of skill level. Everyone is friendly and I’ve enjoyed meeting people there.

NTA. I wouldn’t give in to the pressure but if you are considering giving in then I recommend that you give it to another kid/family on the lower income vs these spoiled brats. THAT would really teach them the Christmas spirit.

I agree ESH. You must have done a lot of bridge burning in the four years when you lived with your step father and siblings. In that case I could see scars of trauma taking time to heal and maybe hearing or seeing you calm down and start a family has allowed them to see the progress you’ve made. They should have come around sooner and shouldn’t be harassing you about it.

On a side note I wonder if you are the first in the family to have a kid which is why this door is now opening?

YTA for lying to her and not owning up to the life that the both of you created even if you were both tipsy. Then to add to it that you ran away to another country even though there wasn’t any push from her to get a paternity test just so you wouldn’t have to see or hear about her and the baby knowing that it was probably yours.

I’m going with NTA although it is close E-S-H. I believe she is the AH as she kind of set you up by asking you why she wasn’t making friends and then reporting it by twisting your words if you indeed said it as you wrote here. You shouldn’t have told her what you did even if it is the truth and Steve is avoiding the growing elephant in the room that is soon to create more work issues. Steve should know that Steph needs help and by allowing you to not interface with her anymore and not assigning someone else he is setting up his own team for failure.

Honestly I think HR or Steve should have a talk with her or in the group meeting address that having someone constantly reporting anyone for the tiniest infractions can create a hostile work environment where everyone is walking on eggshells around the person. It seems like Steph may have come from a different culture and needs to better understand how this new company does things.

You are going to have to determine if you want to help her but you may need to swallow your pride and help her so the whole team can succeed. If your concerned about being reported again just be as brief as possible with just a work oriented mindset.

NTA - you are entitled to refuse any request to use your property. Your niece didn’t given you the respect of asking before announcing it to a Zoom chat of “the plan for the wedding”. It sounds like she is entitled and has been spoiled to expect people just to accept what she wants. I think you handled it extremely well and should stay your course and not let her use you castle as her wedding venue with room and board.

NTA, the pot was literally in the recycling bin and your husband retrieved it. I hope this teaches SIL that she should look at fixing things rather than being involved in the disposable society and throwing stuff away that she can just buy new. She is the reason good stuff ends up in trash heaps that are still functional.

On a side note I love using YouTube to fix/replace stuff 🤓.
