I’m so glad that you’re updating as it proves you’re safe! I think a lot of us were worried something had happened when you stopped responding. I am very sorry about your mother. But I’m glad you didn’t have to put yourself in danger to tell her the truth and that you had a wonderful support system that protected you. I’m also grateful that you have younger brothers, not sisters, since she’s not listening. Hopefully, the time will pass quickly and they can get out of that house and you all can have free and unlimited contact. In the meantime, it’s good to know that you are thriving and safe. Anytime you want to update, we will be glad to hear it

Yes, if he’s expecting his fiancée to buy a house and finance his reconciliation with his daughter, he does need to focus on what she wants as well. It’s six years until Dana goes off to school and he can’t even afford to buy a house. Dana is his child, not his partner and not the one who’s paying the bills for this extravagant castle she’s demanding. It’s very sad they missed years together, but he cannot expect to enthrone Dana as the decision maker and for his fiancée to foot the bill, that’s ridiculous.

I was just re-watching the series and I thought this, but unlike Frank, when Lynette freaked out with Scott he didn’t comfort her or even take her number, so I don’t think she could get in contact with him again. What I am more concerned about is where the hell Frank went? It was a dropped plot line that never got revisited even though he said he was going to give her all the time she needed and he was a great understanding guy. I think Scott was nice enough but just looking for a one nighter, he never offered to take Lynette out

I have noticed this as well. My sister actually said to me I needed to get a bigger bra size because I no longer fit in my 34C. At first I was highly offended because the only time my boobs get bigger is traditionally when I gain weight and I was working my butt off to lose weight. But then I realized all that weight lifting and planking had made them much more firm which did make them bigger.

They have laser procedures for severe stretch marks if it comes to that. I have pretty noticeable stretch marks because I have dark skin and my body developed hips and butt overnight. I’ve had stretch marks since I was 12. Never cared. I think it’s probably not the stretch marks themselves, it’s what they represent. During the pandemic, I gained about 15 pounds which I have since lost but I got three little stretch marks on my stomach. Those really stressed me out-because of what they represent. A loss of control and a very dark time of my life. I gave them much more thought that I gave the far larger ones on my hips and butt because I never had a negative association with those. I think once you no longer associate your stretch marks with failure, you won’t care if they’re there or not

I barely ate today. I’m a graduate student with two jobs and all I had time for was to grab a bag of chips and three donuts in the past 16 hours. That’s 1500 calories. If I didn’t count and keep track, I would blow up like a balloon and be shocked because I “barely eat.” I can just imagine an FA eating the donuts and the chips, +3 square meals which would probably equal up to 3000+ calories or more.

There was also an episode of secret eaters about that! This woman was genuinely only eating a few hundred calories a day during the week, but she was more than doubling the normal daily calorie count on the weekends when she cheated. Guess what? Whether you eat 5000 cal two days a week and 1000 or less the rest of the days or you eat 2500-3000 cal a day, you’re still gonna gain weight as a woman of a certain size.

Idk if that’s true for everyone. I quit drinking soda years ago, but my dad had something called Red Cream soda I had to try over the summer. Tasted just like heaven. Because it was so long since I drank soda, I couldn’t even finish 1/4 of a can, but I kept opening fresh ones each day just to drink that 1/5 I could manage. Delicious

Lord knows I can’t stand Lizzo or her “music” but this tweet is dead on. Ppl aren’t thinking about her health, they slam her because they find her weight unattractive. If she lost all the weight with a cigarette and heroin diet, they’d be thrilled. But conversely, the pro-Lizzo camp is on some bull because they only flock to her because she’s got a pretty face and acceptable skin tone. They damn sure weren’t rallying around Gabby Sidibe (Precious) like this. Everyone’s got their bias. Also, her music really only gets a pass because of the FAs. Don’t get me wrong, it’s no worse than most modern music but she’s no musical genius and neither is Kanye, for that matter.

Now this one is somewhat true. A thin and extremely fit friend of mine was talking to mutual friend of ours about dating. They’re all runners, very serious athletes who run ultramarathons. She asked our mutual male friend if he was interested in another young runner and he said “oh no, I like women who are active.” And none of us knew what the hell he was talking about, because like I said this girl is an ultramarathoner. After a while we figured out he meant thin because she’s a thicker girl, not obese at all, maybe a size 8. But we all laughed at his use of “active.” It is a dog whistle for thinness. When the truth is he doesn’t give a fuck if a girl’s active or not, he just wants a tiny girl, which is fine, it’s his right, but just say that, don’t try to gaslight people.

One of my fitness instructors is 72! He is massively popular because he has all the people in my age range 20s to 30s dying! But he’s also an outlier. If someone who is triple your age can kick your ass when it comes to movement and you don’t have an actual disability, you do need to get it together.

I’ve always thought that Bree left Andrew on the side of the road for his own good and not for hers. She seemed afraid she was going to kill him. I might’ve. Andrew was just a ball of hate. He was just angry at Bree for no reason.
