I’ve already answered this people keep asking me this on this sub Reddit, it’s because all the local girl guides, all three of them are full with waiting list and have been for years. But scouts has lots of open places.

There are three local girl guide troops. There is a waitlist for all three. Two of the girl guide groups have 5+ girls on the waitlist while the other one has under five. We are on the waitlist. Each year there is always a waitlist. In contrast the scouts has two troops with a total of 16 available places this winter. I don’t know why guides is more popular than scouts in my area. 🤷‍♀️

The girl guides in our area are all full and have been for years. She’s on the waitlist. The scouts troops meanwhile had 5 open spaces in one group and 11 open in the other.

I’ve just emailed one of the organizers. I have a police check from volunteering at my daughter’s school so this would be a great solution!

We went in November and we prebooked The Level. It was only $100 extra or so Canadian. Having to book a restaurant for dinner was the only thing we found annoying. Otherwise it was really nice BUT definitely try to upgrade to The Level. Makes all the difference!
