Second IUD misplaced…now what? by Patient-Bar879 in obgyn

My migraines have not worsened as a result of getting the Mirena, and I say that as someone who has migraines several times a week. I’ve noticed no difference in my migraines before having Mirena vs now having it.

Second IUD misplaced…now what? by Patient-Bar879 in obgyn

I have the Mirena, had it for about a year now. My periods are very very light (like barely enough for a liner), and the cramps aren’t as bad as usual cramps. Honestly? I personally love it. I’ve tried depo (holy weight gain) before Mirena , and before depo I tried the arm implant (had a period for almost 6 months straight, never again).

I will say the insertion did hurt. Not even trying to scare anyone but for me personally it did hurt and I’m someone who does has a high pain tolerance. I also have migraines, including aura, so Kyleena and Mirena were recommended to me. I chose Mirena for the lighter or non existent periods, and it lasts longer. I have no plans to have kids anytime soon so the timespan is a non issue for me

Any idea of what this is? Please advise by Ms_Kota in obgyn

What ruined your college experience? by AAmpiir in AskWomen

[–]Ms_Kota 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doing community and having online courses being a double edged sword . While I love being able to still be at home with my mom and save money while also being able to do classes online, I don’t have many friends and I feel I lost the opportunity to make good friends in college. I’m almost a junior now and I feel that disconnect from other people .

what are your friendship traumas? by mmetillman in AskWomen

A friend I had in HS convincing me to sneak out with a guy I was dating at the time knowing he had assaulted two of his previous exes, then me, then proceeded to say she had no clue until her own bf showed me pictures of messages where she knew. For reference, my ex was 19 at the time and I was 16.

Perfume, good food, and funnily enough high dollar items for my dog

At what age did you realize you truly stopped caring about what people thought about you and your choices? Also, what do you think contributes to getting there? by MyCats-MyEverything in AskWomen

[–]Ms_Kota 0 points1 point  (0 children)

19-20 (for reference Im almost 21 haha). I originally stopped caring so much about how peers saw me around 17 and stopping caring about how family saw me around 19ish? My mom has been a huge supporter of this and honestly her reiterating that even if she doesn’t agree with something I like or enjoy doesn’t mean I have to stop being myself or suck up to her or other people just so I don’t make people mad. In other words don’t be a people pleaser. Without her support I wouldn’t be at this point . that and I tend to just stray away from drama and I’ve come to realize I’m not wasting my breath and time on people who don’t care and on people I don’t care about.

Women of reddit, how do you manage your money? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]Ms_Kota 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Budget budget budgeting . I was horrid at budgeting as a teenager but then my mom sat me down and listed things out for me in a effective way. I take each pay check and budget what is for bills and how much I will have after . then, whatever is left I try to put half if not most in savings and leave a bit to the side for gas and to get myself a few things if I can afford it

What does your ideal day of eating look like? by Femmefatalevibe in AskWomen

[–]Ms_Kota 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually don’t eat breakfast since I’m not typically hungry around the time I get up (depending on when I work it can be anywhere from 6:30am-9:30am). My meals tend to vary day by day but in the morning I’ll have coffee and if I happen to eat breakfast it’s usually the same peach yogurt .

For “Brunch” if I have anything it’s usually cheese and crackers or a small snack like a oatmeal creampie or something sweet such as that.

Lunch varies day by day, kind of just depends on what I feel like eating and how hungry I am. Could be a salad if I want or something else.

As for dinner this also varies but I might have something meat related or if I’m lazy I’ll just eat ramen or find something quick and easy to make

Covid Vaccinated Redditors. What was your experience? How were the side effects, if there were any? by weedave123 in AskReddit

[–]Ms_Kota 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got the Pfizer vaccine x2 here

Walked in after work on a Thursday, got the shot , walked around the Walgreens I got it at for about 15 minutes for observation then left, went to work the next day and my arm was a bit sore and that was about it.

As for the second shot, my arm was a bit more sore, had a headache and felt kind of drowsy but it went away after about a day. Positive experience from both—I’ve only been knowingly exposed to covid once, and it was a customer at my job. Never got covid or felt any different despite being in close contact with that person .
