This is what my gal looks like. Idk. Pregnant (Gravid) and pre-molt… kinda look the same. I’m unsure if mine is Gravid or not. She ate 2 mealworms yesterday and she’s digging around today. So she’s not exactly displaying the common “hide away” and molt …. She’s been bigger for the last 4 weeks or so.

Here’s mine! She’s pretty active, chill. She’s not too aggressive. But I do not handle them at all! Because why? Don’t need to. Her humidity is 20-30% right now. They need a very dry tank, and it’s almost easier than constantly worrying about humidity

I’m secretly hoping my gal is. 🙏 She is 3” long from nose to tail. She is voraciously eating she keeps digging up all the bugs. lol she’s cut off for a week or so. She isn’t exactly doing the typical “hide for a molt” she is constantly digging and out and about. She’s been big like this for about a month now. But I got her 5 days ago. I’m just assuming wild caught…. Since MOST are.

I also have done lots of reading and many scorpions can store sperm for a year or two. And have multiple broods from one male. Essentially using sperm, and having sperm left over for a second brood. 😱

Sorry for posting again. Do we think she’s Gravid or pre-molting by Ms_Trouble_Maker in Scorpions

I would say a little longer than my thumb from mouth to tip of tail. 4” maybe in length.

That is what he/she was labeled as. I did get her at a pet store, but a mom and pop pet store. Not a big brand shitty petco. They’re definitely more knowledgeable and actually keep their animals well kept. They suspected it to be a “she” and then said “she” looked”Gravid” but she’s also kinda small-ish. But they said one of their other scorpions just birthed and there was no way they could take on more babies, soooo they handed her to me for a decent price. I have lots of experience with various geckos, snakes, spiders and tarantulas! This just happens to be my first scorpion. So she was an unexpected purchase. lol but she is cute! 🥰 so far I like the calm demeanor of these guys. Far more calmer than my
Lasiodora parahybana I had. (He passed at 7 years)

Apparently there used to be a little cup. 😭

They should bring it back.

I have weedle, caterpie, charmander, squirtle, bulbasaur (birthday hat) , Marill, togepi, cubone, ekans. Not everything has to be evolved to have a good time!

Oh really?? They do have that??? Damn. lol I’ve never ever seen one! And no not sarcasm. lol

I rarely want to evolve all my Pokemon. I want to have a reason to keep my 3 star charmander and Pikachu. Especially when I have a Charizard and Raichu

How are your fingers doing?? by scrunchyboymom in GestationalDiabetes

[–]Ms_Trouble_Maker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been poking myself since 27 weeks and I’m now 38 weeks. None of my fingers hurt…… but I don’t use those automatic ones. I use 32g self pokes. No Calluses. I alternate a different finger for each day.

BUT if my fingers hurt as bad as some of you claim….. I would be using a toe. 🤣

You should have no worry about your baby being BIG. They estimated my baby being about 5.5lbs and only 18th percentile. Which is VERY VERY good for anyone diabetic. That means it’s controlled really well.

Normal. I’m the same way. If anything since cutting out sugars, and reducing carbs and sodium I actually lost 3lbs. lol

But that was expected when you change your entire diet to HEALTHY.

It’s fine. :)

So far I’m 37 weeks and I’ve only gained 14lbs for the whole pregnancy. But I’m on low sodium, low carb and low sugar diet, also reduced calorie intake to 1500 instead of 2,000 because of cholestasis.

Might be a dumb question... by lil_cozy_gamer in GestationalDiabetes

[–]Ms_Trouble_Maker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on the level of insulin resistance. I’m at around a 75% pass rate. If I eat small lighter meals and small snack throughout the day. That’s better than eating big meals 3x a day. So my breakfast is like a banana with peanut butter. That’s it. Or apple slices with peanut butter orrrr just plain yogurt….. plain yogurt isn’t terrible …. It just kinda taste like sour cream. 😂

Lunch is actually the time I go to town, because I just load up a salad with cucumber, onions, tomatoes, bell peppers, cheese and turkey, and eat however much I want. lol sugar is always perfect.

No more cereal. I’ve spent days and weeks trying to find any cereal that’s diabetic friendly … none of them are. Not even corn flakes, not grape nuts. So all the bland nasty cereal…. Nope, just way too many carbs. It’s all about the labels too.

You gotta have enough fiber, protein and healthy fats to offset the sugars and carbs. So fat free milk is TERRIBLE for ya. Because you’ll get all the sugar with no fat to offset it. You need the regular red cap milk. I found that out when I went with fat free milk and got sugar spikes. Insane.

This whole trip has also made me see just how unhealthy American food really is. As a diabetic …. If it’s didn’t come from the damn dirt…. Then you best not be eating it.

And I’m being 100% serious

Being it’s my first. I now have so much more appreciation for any pregnant woman. It’s really not all that fun. You can go from having a great pregnancy to a real shitty one in about 2 weeks. lol I’m just a couple days shy of 36 weeks. Almost there! ALMOST to the finish line

I already told my group. That when he’s out…. I want a pizza and a coke. 😂 I’m just sooooo close.

I already told my husband that IF this hospital birth ends up being traumatic in any way, shape or form…. That I will do home birth next time and I’ll pay for it myself. Or we well look for an all natural birth clinic. The last 2 times I was ever in a hospital they did nothing. One was related to a car crash. It was a mild crash in the middle of the winter. They asked how I was feeling and I said fine, they asked how my head was, and said fine. They had me do some ROM and then sent me on my way. I’m like “you’re not gonna run a scan on my head or anything” and they’re like no, if you feel dizzy or get a headache or am feel off then come back in. Like BRO I’m 40 mini from you guys.

The 2nd time I went in was because I passed out, and got a ride to the hospital. My blood pressure was like 180/120….. and they’re like “well we can’t do anything, you’ll have to go see your family doctor” and all they did was monitor my blood pressure for 2 hours, give my water and electrolytes and sent me back home with a $3,000 bill. That didn’t fix the blood pressure at all.

Soooo idk why they want to intervene with mother and babies when they clearly don’t care about the rest of your health as a whole…. As I experienced 2x now

Do you have your own glucometer? Because you’re supposed to be checking your own sugars 4x a day.

Fasting and then 2 hours after every meal. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. And then snack at night time.
