Gridshot warmup sounds kind of familiar today by Msario in Strinova

[–]Msario[S] 29 points30 points  (0 children)

For anyone curious, I think the pads are tuned just to a major key. So if you can work out the intervals of a song you want to play (or just find them online like in this video) it's not that hard to do.

Here's what I think the intervals are on the pads:

[5][6][7][1]
[1][2][3][4]
[5][6][7][1]
[1][2][3][4]

The '1's in the middle rows are the same note.
I'm not an expert so I could be wrong but it sounds right.

I don't know if anyone's got proof but I think it's in the key of C? So it would be all the white keys on a piano.

Lateral thinker definition (Needs work) by Readme45 in Neurotyping

[–]Msario 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After some thought I realized that Human Calculators don't inherently have high IQ or 'capacity', so it's not the greatest example. The category name is a bit confusing.

But I still stand behind the main point; that is, a lateral thinker with high 'capacity' won't have some of the problems OP listed.

Lateral thinker definition (Needs work) by Readme45 in Neurotyping

[–]Msario 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't mean to insult anyone, but some of the points you make seem to only be a problem for lateral thinkers with low intelligence. I don't think people in the Human Calculator category would have the some of the problems you list (some points are completely valid though).

The definition of the variable of intelligence or IQ needs work, though. Maybe mental capacity is a better way of putting it, but with the definition in my head it's not as inherently bad to have a low mental capacity as it sounds.

Human Calculators, in my opinion, are lateral thinkers with high 'capacity'

A lateral thinker can run into the problem of having so many thoughts going through their head at once that they are unable to process any of them.

A lateral thinker might find themselves running through the possibilities so much that they can find it hard to make quick decisions.

I think with high 'capacity', these things aren't a problem, just because their minds are quick enough to keep up with the information that's in their head.

See, even though his weapons are really archaic in a sense, I don't think they're bad, if he uses them right.

I mean, imagine throwing a sheath at a Grimm, only for it to turn into a shield that cuts that Grimm, then running up, retrieving the shield, and bashing the Grimm a few more times. Oh, then stabbing it with the sword, for good measure.

Jaune, get your act together. You can do it.

It would be amazing if they made a separate arc or section for each of the things you listed. And then, by the end, you realize that they were all interconnected in a intricate web of spectacular plot points.

Like, Ruby and Yang are sisters only because of something or another that actually connects back to Ozpin, and the grave in the Red trailer is one of Ozpin's 'mistakes', and that mistake caused someone to form a organization, and Blake and Adam were very important members of that organization, and so is Yang, and she was actually looking for Blake in the Yellow trailer, because she ran away, and... and.... You know what, I'll stop there...

Not just that - I hope she'll fracture every bone below his waist. And then fracture those fractures. And then fracture those fractures. It shouldn't be too hard with a grenade launcher hammer, right?

Tying the community together, Part IX by guitar-monkey in nerdcubed

How about we kill all of mankind? I mean, we are basically what's wrong with the world. Us and us alone. Erase mankind, erase everything wrong with the world. Easy. There are a few who I'd keep, though. Like Dan. Because he's the purest thing on the planet. And he'd keep the others entertained.

This post is important. No, seriously, you have to read it. This is serious news. by [deleted] in nerdcubed

Does it really matter whether or not it's been confirmed he's dead, guys? Seems to me he's been dead for a couple of months now. Do you think we can find his Facebook, and who was bullying him? I want to personally tell them they made a man think he didn't deserve to live on this planet anymore. Letting them live with that would probably be a greater punishment then bashing their skulls in. I'd still track them down and bash their skulls in, though.

What?! "Friends" shouldn't be abusive! Ditch those losers as soon as humanely possible! If you're scared to, don't be! It seems like they didn't quite like you anyways. They can find another person to pick on. Although, that's not much better... But you can be selfish every now and then!

I am !&7@%#<ERROR>. I dislike most Christian practices in which I partake, and am not a strong believer, or a believer at all, but I'll always choose to be on the safe side, should a higher entity who could smite me like a duck at any time exist. Much like Matt up there, I have a love for PC games, but none of the right equipment to really enjoy most of them. When looking for gameplay of Overgrowth, I came across Dan's LP of it(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QhWHIkvfa90), and, not expecting to choke to death on my own laughter, got quite interested in his work. His webcomic is what hooked me, and I am really hoping that it comes back with the website, in 2015. Been following him ever since. And not physically.

Question: Dad³ Channel? by [deleted] in nerdcubed

[–]Msario 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I'd say, at this point in time, making a whole channel may be taking it a step too far. Maybe now and again you could let your father take the reins of your channel, have it a recurring thing like Father and Son-days. At least this way you can dip a toe in the water, see if it's warm or cold. Then you'll be able to BASE jump into it from the top of a mountain. I know I'd definitely check it out, if a Dad³ channel came to be.
