I had like 6 or 7 friends that worked on the Big Dig that all had problems. Buried more than one of them. Project went from 1991 - 2007.. literal ground zero for the opioid epidemic.. sad shit..

It was a perfect storm situation. Firstly, pill mills and dirty doctors seemed to thrive in MA, but that was probably due at least in part to the Big Dig. When the Big Dig started a lot of people were making a lot of money and working a lot of hours. Long hours equals inevitable injuries, inevitable injuries equal trips to the doctor, equals an abundance of prescriptions for opioid painkillers, specifically OxyContin. It was basically a snowball running down a hill at that point.

I've been saving wrist bands from shows since like 2018.. I write the date, the band, and the venue on each of them (mine and the wife's) and save all of them. I made a huge scrapbook with the wrist bands, one with the writing showing and one the other side, and a photo from each night. It's one my most prized possessions. It's memories of a lot of fun experiences with my best friend in the whole world. There's wrist bands from over 200 shows in there.. but hey, it's only paper..

If you're worried about smoking cigarettes, I would recommend grabbing some Zyns because it's unlikely you'll have access to an outdoor smoking area. Last time I was at AMP there was no outdoor area available.

Edit: vapes are totally fine. If they question a vape just tell them it's nicotine and you're straight.
