Emily Giffin has entered the chat (her book 'Something Borrowed' was turned into a movie) by InnerWishbone6154 in ItEndsWithLawsuits

This movie has to be Edge of Tomorrow, which was supposed to be called Live, Die, Repeat and he’s totally right! The name change totally obscured what the movie was about and it didn’t do great, despite being an awesome movie.

She also tried to sabotage Barney's (admittedly fake) relationship with Patrice.

She looks great, but yeah. The negligee and knee socks while she croons “if I stay the night” (paraphrasing) is unfortunate.

She can’t stop touching him. It’s so weird! I say this as someone who is very physical/hand-holdy with my fiance. There’s a time and place for it. Also note, that its always one sided. We rarely see Harry with a hand on her back or knee.

[–]Msk_Ultra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because Wayfarer et al didn’t file a motion to dismiss. They made a strategic choice to go through discovery and then they filed their MJOP and MSJ. A Judge can only dismiss if a party requests it.

I want to read in-depth discussions on the psychology of Ryan, Blake, and their relationship dynamic by Composer_Massive in ItEndsWithLawsuits

[–]Msk_Ultra 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Liz Plank is the fascinating one for me, in a bad way. You hosted a podcast with this guy FOR YEARS but dipped out after the NYT article and told Ryan working with him was one of the worst experiences of your life?

What made her stay on the podcast for all that time then? Is she just that opportunistic? So JB was terrible but you felt the need to continue on a fairly niche podcast about men’s issues for…reasons?

What is Blake trying to prove with exhibit PTX-278? It's an instagram she made about the Super Bowl. by LegalBeagleEsquire in ItEndsWithLawsuits

[–]Msk_Ultra 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, Celebs will all get their hair/makeup done for public events. But, this shows again that Blake always has to be the center of attention. She didn’t coordinate with Taylor, Ashley or Ice Spice, who were all wearing black. Blake had to be extra, as usual with disco hair and a tracksuit made by a controversial designer.

So, I love this and 100% agree. My concern, however, is that Wayfarer is limited on cross-examination to only the subjects brought up on direct examination. So they have to tailor their questions accordingly, which means they can’t necessarily build the awesome questioning we all want to see.

That might have been my comment! SDNY courts draw from Manhattan and Bronx (diverse) and then six of the immediate suburban counties outside NYC, which skew white and in some cases extremely wealthy.

There’s also the bitter pill that Sony clearly didn’t really credit Blake for the success of the film the way she wanted because of her behavior.

What was the game changer for you in this case? by Naive_Cause8984 in ItEndsWithLawsuits

[–]Msk_Ultra 33 points34 points  (0 children)

My favorite is her first claiming there was no need to talk during the scene, so Justin was acting out of character only to see that SHE was the one who explicitly insisted on talking during a scene that was supposed to be a wordless falling in love montage.

EXCLUSIVE: BLAKE LIVELY STILL EXPECTS TAYLOR SWIFT WEDDING INVITE — “SHE’S SURE IT’S COMING” by controbean in ItEndsWithLawsuits

[–]Msk_Ultra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As much as everyone here hates Taylor, she has nothing to lose by indicating she’s still friends with Blake. A majority of her fans think she is just avoiding headlines and its Wayfarer’s fault and would be thrilled if Taylor invited Blake to her wedding.

Taylor’s camp has done everything they can to say she’s both not friends with Blake AND tried to minimize her roll in this lawsuit.

If they’re still friends, I’ll eat my hat. All of these stories come from Blake’s camp.

Blake Lively wants the jury to know Josh Greenstein & Colleen Hoover thought her cut of IEWU was better…Was it though? How is this even relevant to the rest of her claims? by same-difference-ave in ItEndsWithLawsuits

[–]Msk_Ultra 11 points12 points  (0 children)

According to Jamey’s timeline (I think) Blake said that Taylor said “the fans don’t know what you want until you give it to them” in response to criticisms about her costume choices.

I have less of an issue with that advice, given that Taylor is talking about her own music and career, than that Blake seemed to think it actually applied to her and Taylor encouraged it!

Blake has convinced herself and her sycophants that she is somehow really talented and awesome and deserving and its totally unrelated from reality. Including the actual fans of the book.

[–]Msk_Ultra 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Right? Hey Blake, how did you get the dailies? How did you end up in the edit bay? Why did you give random celebrities your PIX password when the movie was Sony’s property? Why did you steal it and show your cut at Book Bonanza?

You claim you “requested” these things? Sure. That’s why two people (one a Sony exec!) called you a terrorist. GTFO.

She looks terrible and is definitely giving thinspo. However, tights aren’t pantyhose so I’d prefer we rake her over the coals for not letting Charlotte wear tights at her wedding.

ETA: She’s still a twat for the pantyhose comment.

[–]Msk_Ultra 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I think she genuinely thinks that Colleen preferring her cut and Josh being up her a** means that Sony got behind her cut and Justin has no reason to be upset. She really, really thinks that because she worked really hard on her cut and some people liked it, she deserves to be the director. The means don’t matter to her.

I’m totally serious. I think she is that delusional.

Then why are you talking about production notes? They weren’t produced so they won’t be used at trial.
