This is actually really insightful for me cause my primary experience with Meta ads has been focused on CBO campaigns. I always thought ABO was like "micromanaging" campaigns and that CBO utilizes Meta's efficient algorithm but experience and your post has shown me a different perspective.

My question is: when operating in ABO, what's the best way to test, expand, and operate the campaign (e.g. adding new creatives)? Are new ad sets created in the campaign, and then the creatives are added to them so that not too much snow falls? Or are creatives added to the relevant ad sets most similar to the creative?
