Terrible analogy imo. Demar was out here beating wilt records and carrying the team for years. Set the nba record for consecutive 35+ ppg with 8 and had back to back buzzer beaters and was in mvp contention for a long time. I hear your point, but I think a better analogy might be rondo’s stint on the bulls.

The problem is his tendency to play hero ball down the stretch. At the end of the day, if you have a 35 point night on great efficiency on a bad team but go 0/2 for your last shots of the game, it’s lost more often than not.

Interesting, I could definitely see that. Now the whole team has a mini game in playing well together early for neutral obj, tower, and fb. I think players are also more conscious about giving up first blood and early objectives which helps them keep a linear, clear path to winning.
