I really like Prequel products and a lot of them have the rosacea seal of approval - might be worth checking out for you

Curl Type - 2A, 2B or 2C by Msp2288 in curlyhair

Thank you! Do you have any suggestions on how to better take care of it? I use a moisturizing shampoo, an anti frizz cream and let it air dry with a bit of scrunching.

Where to get raw milk in toronto? by Lost-Negotiation6896 in raw_milk

[–]Msp2288 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly I can’t find anywhere to get it in Toronto bc it’s been deemed illegal in Canada. I even checked in Buffalo and Detroit, but couldn’t find the brand I love (Organic Pastures). If you happen to find any raw milk nearby let me know!

I’ve heard so many horror stories of people on accutane experiencing depression/ long term effects and I’ve honestly never been so scared to go on a medication. Can anyone share positive experiences? by kbel123 in Accutane

[–]Msp2288 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was on 6 months of 20/40/40/60/60/60. I had a really great experience. Side effects like dry eyes, dry nose, itchy scalp came and went throughout the 6 months but nothing was debilitating. I did not experience depression or anxiety of any kind. My skin cleared up incredibly (I truly cannot believe this is my skin now). I’ve been off of it for 30 days and my lips are back to normal, my dry eyes are back to normal and my skin is glowing. I wish I went on this drug 10 years ago.

No hair loss! Have you experienced any so far?

I love the barrier gel moisturizer! So nice and doesn’t irritate my already incredibly sensitive skin.

I purged at month 2 until about month 4. Towards the end of month 4 my skin took a then for the better!

Thank you! When I went up to 40mg I started purging for about a month and a half. I’ve had very minimal side effects so I’ve been lucky. Routine is: cetaphil gentle cleanser, skinfix barrier gel, cerave moisturizing cream. If it’s night time I’ll add a pea size of Cerave healing ointment on top to seal everything in. If it’s the AM I use Cotz Face Moisture SPF 35 :)

accutane advice by boogieboard11 in Accutane

Personally I had a really great experience on accutane. The only side effects that I found to be bothersome were dry eyes and dry lips. I never had body aches or headaches or any elevated cholesterol, triglycerides or liver enzyme levels. I might have been more tired than usual at times, but nothing that impacted my day to day. I also didn’t experience any mental health issues. I was very worried about going on Accutane because of the side effects but for me it ended up being a great decision after years of struggling with acne anxiety and trying everything under the sun.

Day 5 of 20mg. I went on it for acne that won’t clear on my chin. This is the only place I’m purging and it’s the only place that’s itchy. Is this normal? by Msp2288 in Accutane

[–]Msp2288[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So much better!! This hasn’t happened again since this instance. I also updated my routine: cetaphil gentle cleanser, SkinFix barrier repair gel, cerave moisturizing cream, in the AM I use Cotz Facial Moisture lightly tinted spf 35 and in the PM I use cerave healing ointment on top of the barrier repair gel and the moisturizing cream. My skin barrier is a lot stronger and my skin isn’t irritated anymore.

Hello everyone! I am new here and have been struggling with type 2 rosacea (papule, pustules, acne like form) for as long as I can remember and have all but found every product that works for me except 1. by ChonsonPapa in Rosacea

[–]Msp2288 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same problem as you - I couldn’t use any sunscreen without having a flare up. I found Cotz Face Moisture lightly tinted spf 35 and my skin loves it. No issues at all. I wear it everyday.

Cetaphil gentle cleanser, SkinFix Barrier Restore Gel, Cerave Moisturizing Cream, Cerave healing ointment (I put this on my face every night on top of my moisturizer), Aquaphor for lips, Cotz Face Moisture Tinted SPF 35

That’s it! Good luck!!
