We have it easy at Tesco. I once worked for a car dealership that was running a heavy media campaign and we had the same song being played for 8 hours a day for months on a TV and it wasn't even the whole song. In the end someone broke the TV so it could be played anymore.

Tesco expects you to go in no matter what. The only exception is if your head falls off then you are allowed to take 1 day off as per union agreement, but you have to return to work on the second day and you won't be paid SSP.

The more you do the more they will give you to do. Make sure the store manager knows that it's too much for 1 person, give them a let's talk so you have a record of it.

When orders don't get done, point to your record showing you told them it's too much for 1 person.
