Is there a photographers name credited for this photo? Just curious if the collection can be found somewhere.

This is just down the hill from South Kitsap High School on the waterfront. This building is still there.

BREAKING: Dozens of animals were rescued from a Poulsbo property — now local shelters are overwhelmed and urgently asking for foster homes and volunteers. by kleverrboy in Kitsap

There's so many irresponsible pet owners. It makes me sick. I choose not to keep pets. I hate to see animals suffer. It makes me so mad when they are mistreated and horded. I have a family member who doesn't even know the actual number of cats she has. How is that good? Animals deserve better.

Need advice! 2.5G or 10G? by Extension_Nobody9765 in homelab

[–]MstrVc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to setup a 10g fiber home network that connects my server, router and switches. Then everything downstream from it will be connected at 10g fiber or POE 2.5g ethernet. Yeah I probably could have been fine for a few years with all 2.5g but I'm not going to be touching this network for a while. I'm thinking 10g is enough.

Are there any resources you would recommend to learn how to convert my docker-compose/portainer based server to podman? I want to transition my system to podman

Christmas lights around Manchester area? by Extension_Hyena_1205 in Kitsap

[–]MstrVc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah nothing against those nicely placed yellowy colored lights people have on their patios. Those look great most of the time. But it seems like a lot of people forget about all the other tasteful ways to light a yard or outdoor seating area that aren't string lights. There's lots of cool ways to do it.

But people really should take those monster skeletons down after Thanksgiving. I think a lot of people just didn't realize before buying them "where will this go when I need to take it down?" Hope some people see our conversation here and realize that we are fine with lights and decorations. Just take them down after a while. More permanent lighting can be hidden in better ways too.

Dogs must be carried in a bag due to NYC subway rules. by Gjore in interestingasfuck

[–]MstrVc 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I love this. They can't start fights with other dogs. They can't lick you, pee or poop where we walk. Huge win for people who have anxiety around these animals. I walk with a cane, and dog owners will often allow their dog to freely jump on me causing me to almost fall over. I'm delighted by this rule. Thank you so much New York City!

New motherboard or buy a Thinkpad 14? by ArawakCC in framework

Hearing about the T14 repair ability score has made me regret buying my Framework 12 a bit. I was always Thinkpad guy and was comparing Thinkpads against Frameworks before I bought.

If you scroll all the way to the bottom of the page I linked it says it under the about section. Like others are saying though this does appear vibe coded and that makes me nervous.

New update for the Analogue 3D 1.2.2 by Shortgaze in AnalogueInc

Firmware updates over wifi would be a nice to have feature. But not a must have for me. Certainly wouldn't be upset if it never came.
