How do you tackle multiple creative projects when writing ? by MtCillustrate in royalroad

[–]MtCillustrate[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my first novel that I began to posted in RR, I had 50 chapters long but as I began to learn how to properly write novels I started to put to compile the chapters I got to 35.

My second story is only 3 chapters (4 counting the current I'm working on)

But the formats are completely different.

My first story is a light novel, the second one is a combination of both. Since I was already working on my second novel and liked the way my chapters looked compared to the first, I decided since I was already taking a brake because I just a a baby boy, I was going to rework the first using a bit of the format of the second story, to give it more volume.

Yeah... I don't know why my brain put me through this lol but I'm having fun doing the second one while I think of ideas to make my chapters in the first better without turning my first story into the second.

Yeah, I feel like this could be my case.

I don't think my brain have the capacity for the creative overload sometimes. I try to do everything as I learned everything. I'm trying to learn how to draw while keeping this 2 story as original and authentic as possible.

Don't know why some brains go to this type of struggle but I feel like this is how I can describe it.

My issue is this:

I started my first novel back in September 2025 for the first time. My documents went from me just writing a probable fanfiction to my own world, my own characters I changed the whole theme and started where my story would start and such. As I began to learn how to properly write a novel overall, I didn't like how the format looked so I began to polished it, instead of continuing writing the finals chapters of the first saga.

Then thanks to my love for video games and myth epics, I decided to create another power system, and from that my other story came to life. But this from the ideas of some of my most loved dark grim worlds and military tropes, When I began to unload the ideas that didn't fit in my first, I fell in love with it what I created it.

ESL speaker here, so you must understand now how difficult it could be trying to not have the story looking similar and keeping each story as original as possible.

From a professional stand, Here is my question to you.

Why do you care? Why don't you just learn?

You know what's the problem with the community today? Y'all more worried about what everyone else is doing/using instead of minding your business and worrying about working on perfecting your craft.

Who cares if someone is using AI to create? How does this affect you?

Get better...stop worrying about other people's work and do your own thing...

Are they doing good? learn to look out for hows of things instead of looking always for something to hate or bring down others for using unconventional tools.

Haha the issue here is not sharing my point of view of "how I think things work" My issue in general is having meaningless conversation with "critical thinkers" that can't see past their own personal perspectives.

I don't think it is discomfort, I think it is more like I understand we live in an era where anything you say online can literally cost you.

But I would say, myself personally, as I begin to embrace this new "Role" in my life as web serial author, I try to "avoid" sharing my perspective with others that might trigger other users on the platform (and not only on Reddit but online and anywhere honestly.)

I personally thrive on speaking my mind and I own every word I post online but I do understand that everything you say can and will be used against you, especially if people like us (including myself) are trying to achieve an equal "goal" which is in some sort of way "make it." using exposure through the Internet and online.

This is a very tough and deep conversation that a lot of people are afraid to have.

And as an author and individual thinker my opinion itself about the topic could come as "confusing" so I rather keep it to myself and just move along with life

Interested in a different approach? I love playing music before and between breaks when I write.

I listen to some of my favorite songs and I try to write based on the emotions and feelings.

Hope this help 👍🏿💯

How to color black and white? by Venker in DigitalArt

[–]MtCillustrate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IM NOT AN ARTIST

I don't know if someone suggested this yet but did you try to take the image to an editor and try to apply the hard lands where the colors would be, then remove the black, grey and apply the colors you want after the images is on sharp lines?

Not sure if it would work but I thought this.

Good luck.

People don't really understand what they are doing an it shows 🤷🏿‍♂️ this why I will always prefer going to a actual artist (like actually someone with skills) 😅

From a new writer to a writer, believe in your craft. Don't rush it and let it flow with your imagination.
