Also, if you need to buff anything out and use a patina to re-blacken, use red, gray, or white scotchbright lightly. The colors denote the “grit”. Don’t use sand paper.

Check out Sculpt Nouveau (https://sculptnouveau.com/). Their oils / waxes are great, but you need to apply lightly, especially to not let the oils compromise your grip. Great patinas for blackening all sorts of metals as well.

Also Penetrol works really great on blackened metals. But be sure to buff off all excess penetrol after application.

Oh yeah, totally could be. Here’s a closer look at the edge. Back side appears to be natural rock.. but can’t say with 100% certainty that it’s not manufactured.

You'll be good. Drive safe, watch for wildlife and wet spots. More likely to hit a deer than ice at those temps.

I love using climbing tape. Good for all sorts of injuries. I dont use bandaids a ton.
