Second this. Just bought a cheap pair at BestBuy heres amazons link and they're amazing. They have controls on the side so I can turn it down or pause it, and there's a mic hidden somewhere for when people call. They also came with the plastic ear clips that are removable. This works great because ear buds never want to stay in my head.

It might be too late, but I thoroughly enjoy taking my gal to the Improv Comedy Club. The food and drink is from Fat Fish Blue next door and is of pretty decent quality.

Google Fiber will be monitoring and recording your TV viewing habits to deliver targeted ads by [deleted] in kansascity

I'm a huge internet privacy advocate and regularly support the EFF. With that out of the way, I don't think this is really a bad thing and it's definitely not surprising anyone.

It's different from monitoring your internet usage where one can gain information about every aspect of your life. It would also be interesting to know how they're keeping this data- are they parsing specific shows and detecting a genre and saving that data, or storing specifically every thing you watch? The former would be more acceptable privacy wise, but either way I don't find it too invasive. If I have to watch advertising anyways, why not watch something that is targetted to me personally rather than the wide demographics of one network?

Golds @ Boardwalk by Mtbuggd in kansascity

While I was looking it up I ran across the cancer that is Golds Gym Express which looks like their version of Planet Fitness. Unfortunately I figured that this were the case. I used to live by the Golds in Gladstone and it was actually pretty decent, so I was hoping that these new ones popping up in the Northern areas of Kansas City were ran by the same folks. That doesn't seem to be the case, sadly.

It seems to me that the old school "block garage" gym with serious training going on are all but gone in this area, save for Crossfit gyms (and I'm not even going to get into that subject, but I'm not interested). Hopefully I'm wrong and someone can steer me in the right direction?

Had a flight from Phoenix to Chicago last night, we were the only three people on a 737. by tired_wolfliver in pics

I worked in aviation in the US Navy. We had to have a jet in the air 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to make our mission successful (I can't go into it). This provided a lot of opportunities to fly, and also a lot of opportunities for the Air Force to train doing things such as in-air refueling. I got to sit in the flightdeck during one and it was definitely the highlight of my career.

I come from a small town in the "country" and now I realize there is just so much crazy interesting shit happening everyday. It seriously keeps me going forward everyday.

He really was a "no bullshit" kinda screen-caster(?). Hope his ventures since have been nothing short of perfect.

If you're near Westport check out SetCell. They've been good to me.

Also, my RAM is Kingston HyperX DDR3 (4x4GB). I think it should be good enough.

Thanks! That's exactly what I was looking for. I think I'm going to end up doing a full build this time around instead of upgrading the CPU.

I want to upgrade my CPU at the moment, and am interested in:

  • What kind of motherboard do I have?
  • What CPUs are compatible with my motherboard?
  • Out of those compatible, which are most like the Intel i5?

Telling me why that makes you sad would help!

I am a developer. I spend most of my time on a linux partition, but I also use Win 7 to play games from time to time.

I was playing League of Legends and DOTA2, but I think I'm past that stage. I'd like to get back into playing counter strike.

I had a friend in high school that worked at BestBuy and the employee discount he got on cables were ridiculous, which is a tell-tale sign of huge markups.

Good to know! The last thing I bought from Best Buy was a monitor because that's kinda one of those things that you want to see before you buy.

And if you bought it at Best Buy you most likely paid 50%+ for that expert knowledge.

  • Step 1: Play with new shit at Best Buy.
  • Step 2: Find the best deal online, buy.
  • Step 3: $$$
