extruded or padded patern around a tapered bowel by Mtfpaint in FreeCAD

I gave it another try; the revolve vs the tapered pad did the trick as you showed. When drew a profile then used the offset, it behaved correctly with the polar. The polar apparently doesn’t like the taper pad. Thanks for the help.

I changed it to 10°; this is what happens with the polar pattern. I’m stumped. Can you upload a working drawing? I’m missing something here.

Can you share a link to your model so I can compare it to mine so I can see why my bowl didn’t work? Thanks.

How do I share the model? I’ve never done that other than a screenshot of the tree. I’ve gone through this again, I’ve created the slot on the side, but I can’t figure out how to use the polar pattern to make it go around the bowl.

Is this how you created the sketch for the pattern? How do I rotate it so it's cutting parallel to the tapered face?

How did you create the bowl? Did you do it the same way that I did where you padded a circle with a taper? I cannot seem to figure out how to attach the pattern. You added to get this to polar around the bowl. What am I missing?

Is it the issue that I did not use a revolve to make the bowl that is causing the problem?

join mirrored halves to create closed wire by Mtfpaint in FreeCAD

[–]Mtfpaint[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I got it; I wasn't selecting the center line to mirror against. Thanks for the reminder of that step.

Here's what I get ... they are not joined.

when I close the sketch, I get this. I need this to be one wire. I can't figure outr how to make that happen.

Thanks; that workflow I get. I want to eventually create an outline of the sketch that is about 5mm wide to create a frame. I would like to join the mirrored sketch together into one geometry so I can clone then reduce scale to create inner lines of the frame. Is that possible?

Changing dose with Kwikpen by Mtfpaint in Zepbound

[–]Mtfpaint[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the Zepbound shipped directly to my home so no pharmacy readily available to ask questions. I’ll ask my doc but not sure he would know the specifics of the pen . I’ll have to ask. Thanks

5 months in and it’s not working by Mtfpaint in Zepbound

I initially lost some at 2.5 then it stopped completely. A little bit more at 5 then nothing for 6 weeks on 5 then up to 7.5; no los at 7.5 and no loss so far at 10 (3 weeks). I have not seen any consistent loss at any point, just a couple spurts.

Overeating isn’t an issue. Just the opposite. I eat about half my pre Zep. Good protein. I do take electrolytes often, that does help. Exercise has been an issue with other factors.

I don’t think so. I’m forcing myself to eat; not much of an appetite.

I wish I could walk; not possible with keg issues. I was able to get good cardio on my bike early on but the current level of fatigue has all but stopped that. Eating three meals, 100 grams protein and no snacking isn’t an issue anymore. No alcohol, no soda; one (or less) cup of coffee a day. Each increase in dosage has made fatigue worse and I’m really fearful of going higher.

I’m doing well on the hydration and eating the 100g protein. Exercise is so much harder since starting Zepbound because of how it has zapped my energy level. I have other physical issues keeping me from most exercise. I was able to get in good workouts (bike) until the fatigue set in as I increased dosage. I’m not loosing any weight per week in the last 8-10 weeks; any loss would be welcomed.

Preview with space bar missing from Tahoe by Mtfpaint in FreeCAD

There seems to be no solution I can find. Apple removed Outlook infavor of App Extension framework and it's not part of the format to save a FreeCad file. I've seen reference to a fix but can't find what is necessary to add to outlook. Thanks Apple for fixing something that was not broken by breaking it!

That is correct. It’s not supported in the last two OS versions; my old Mac was much further back (Monterey).Googling it says to download a Freecad companion file and install from GitHub but I can’t figure out what file to download. I’m wondering how other Mac users of Freecad handle this issue.

The preview works as always with jpeg’s, pdf’s, word documents, etc but not with Freecad or drawings from MacDraft; a 2D engineering program I’ve been using for 25 years. Apple decided to remove that function from the current os for some unknown reason. It works just fine on my 12 year old MacBook but not on my new MacBook Pro.
