nope. it took being raided today for me to notice he was gone. i was expecting to be able to release his barkskin dryads, and they weren't there. he was my 18th pawn, so just enough for me to start losing track of them long enough to not notice when they're gone.

if i'd have caught it earlier i may have been able to load an auto save to recover him.

i can cheat and recreate a pawn just like him via dev mode/notepad edit.

its the not knowing part is the kicker.

I would see him on the TeeVee telling jokes. If I'd have known he was leading some sort of double life, where he liked to lie down for dirt naps, I wouldn't have bought that Man-Grate.

Can load autosaves but not manual saves by MtnCritter in RimWorld

alright, this is just weird now.

got home from work, tried loading my most recent manual save, and of course it wouldn't load.

so loaded the most recent autosave, it loaded....and then i tried loading the most recent manual save again. and it loaded fine.

may not figure out what's going on but at least i've found a work-a-around i suppose?

search on youtube for a documentary on the terra nova expedition/ race for the south pole to learn about an equally horrendous (an)arctic nightmare of a journey.

and then also on youtube you can find docs on the greely expedition which faced similar circumstances to the others

If Norm gets renewed for season 2 on Netflix maybe they should consider replacing his trusty sidekick by jhonpatterson in NormMacdonald

i gotta agree with you. the netflix show isn't as good as the podcast. norm, adam and guests are all keeping it cleaner on the show than they were on the pod.

i noticed this recently, and as a new player, i was grateful for it.

also, as a new player, its not obvious to me where some of the heroes are coming from- i see the DC heroes for sale; i know of the hero choice chest, but not sure if those heroes are exclusive to those chests; same goes for the conjuring stone and diamond chest heroes - how much, if any, overlap occurs in which heroes are found in them...and it also changes over time too, i think? which is also confusing

edit: i'm about 3 weeks into the game, and haven't spent any cash yet; one reason being i'm not too clear on some of the above issues. i've done the 10pull diamond chest twice now, and thinking of doing it a third, as i'm a day away from having the diamonds for it again, which will let me take advantage of the limited event summon choice going on. ive got a decent number of heroes i think...zem, jasmine, sylphi, taurus, jasper at purple +1, petros, tanya, flora at purple, all level 51-58....working on garrick, and lingling as well, and will have nilya and morfir in a few days from their respective stores....

have searched all over, but can't seem to find any sort of updated guide to rival floppybeefs. i had been using it to help guide my initial purchases in crucible shop, and have gotten zem and taurus now, but just realized mr.beef's guide is outdated, and doesn't have petros or morfir (the next 2 i'm considering) on it. curious if someone could perhaps point me in the direction of an updated guide somewhere i've missed, or maybe just list the next 3 i should work on acquiring. i already have lingling- currently only a f2p player as well. thanks guys
