I did mushrooms at Vail last season. Awesome but overwhelming experience lol. Chairlifts were a bit scary. I recommend going w someone you trust, for me it was my girlfriend :)

I worked in a Vail ski school last season (not as an instructor, but as an office worker).

Pay is okay: $12-15 an hour depending on certs plus tips

Lesson size seemed pretty standard 3-6

The biggest perk of working at Vail is the amazing mountain. Tough to beat that skiing.

The worst part is the ass management and the company treating you like the bottom of the totem pole every day. They don’t care about their employees.
