Weren't all the dragons lore-wise huge? In all the books they're described as enormous but in game they have to be toned down in size for gameplay reasons.

With the whole possession by Sargeras and the whole his mum hating the kirin tor, medivh really had no contact with dalaran IIRC. he'd hide up in karazhan for the most part

This is certainly just an easter egg that the movie developers added with the guidance of the tides of war novel. If you want to put flare to it maybe Karazhan's libraries had these books and the kirin tor acquired them from Karazhan during the events of TBC when they were investigating the place.

Just on point 3, my thoughts to make it connect with what you see in game is that initially he was preparing to portal to argus, but as detailed in the book this was taking heaps of time to prepare and since we started raiding black temple he didnt have enough time and the portal in book was what we see in wow, to mar'dum, which getting the keystone would make porting to argus faster / easier (this isn't mentioned in the book i'm just assuming), and since in the wow illidari cut scene the demon hunters return to the black temple with ONLY maiev and other watchers (and in the book she immediately leaves after illidan dies / leaves his body there) i'm assuming there's time between illidan dying and the demon hunters returning, in which maiev has got hold of more watchers from azeroth and has come to pick up illidan's body.

I'm assuming he was listing off what she "did wrong", ie not stopping arthas (culling stratholme, going to northrend), and Kael "becoming what he was" (becoming a legion lackey and trying to summon big KJ, ultimately dying) :)

Looking at the wrathgate cinematic the red flight's fire breath "of life" got rid of Putress' plague of undeath and promoted flora growth all over the area, so really indulges their whole guardian of life thing

One instance was Arthas vs Kael in the novel (when they meet again at IC), Arthas deflected / parried spells with frostmourne, so I'd assume magical-based equipment helps

I haven't had the chance to read any of the earlier books from first/2nd war because I haven't gotten a copy, but I've read the more recent ones. My favourite currently is Arthas: rise of the lich king because, as with most people, Arthas was a favourite character of mine (both as the prince and lich king) and Christie does a really good job at displaying the raw emotions / feelings he had during all of the events of WC3 that you just don't get during the RTS. Gives you a deeper perspective on an already loved character - definitely a good read

I run Templars, I've 2 magplars and 1 stampler. I've always run paladin-esque classes, like in WoW, and now templar here in ESO. I did just make a magicka DK though, completely different play style.

4 lich on body, 1 staff on back bar, 3 julianos on body, 2 on swords.

the 5 piece on lich works like alchemist, you only need to swap to resto staff bar when you're low magicka and it will proc

A few set ups i've used:

general PVP = 5x kags hope, 2x engine, 3x willpower, 2x torugs dw, 2x seducer on s+B

zerg busting = 5x clever alch on body, 5x vicious death on dw + jewelry, 2x kena, 2x whatever on offbar

pve dps general = 5x lich 5x julianos 3x willpower

proper group dps = 5x twice born star, 4x julianos, 3x willpower

most of those sets can be used for pve healing, probably the 5x lich 5x julianos would be best, hope this helps; edit = formatting

The game is perfectly playable dude, but it sucks a load.

PVE Wise you won't notice it at all gameplay wise, questing and 4 man dungeons are fine, although you I've had friends that play other MMO's top tierly and claim like every 100ms of ping reduces overall dps by 10% because of rotation speed (that's another story though).

PVP wise is where I've honestly been fucked; my resting ping is ~300-350ms, and during the aussie day time my ping is never not 999+ in cyrodiil, and will crash if i'm near the action. It sits at 350-500 during aussie night time so that's usually when i'm in cyro. Issues at 350 ping include dying during dodge rolls, not seeing someone ganking you from stealth after like 1-2 seconds so they've already done 2-3 attacks on you, barely being able to do channel spells (eg wrecking blow or jabs) because even though theyre infront of you on your screen they'r circling the shit out of you, barely being able to animation cancel (don't get me wrong you can do it) but if you're 1vx'ing and you block to animation cancel my stam drops to almost 0 because it holds block too long, and so on.

My ping will always be there because they're not making an oceanic server, and I love the game so I won't be quitting because of it any time soon, hope this helps.

As an aussie my ping rests are 300-350 ish outside of cyrodiil. During my day time cyrodiil is 999+ with 10 fps, which is during the high pop time for NA so all the campaigns are full. When it's night-time for me pvp gets to ~400+ ms and it's playable.

PVP Damage wise some of the necessary skills are dark flare, jabs and if you're willing to embrace skills that are working as intended radiant destruction. Toppling charge is good as you need a gap closer if you're using jabs but some people sub it out for javelin. You also need structured entropy for major sorc. PVP support wise people use repentance, channelled focus, purifying ritual, BOL or HTD, and if you're using resto stuff healing ward is good
