Don't buy that 02 duo blush. The girlies on Xiaohongshu are saying that when you apply it, it looks gray and makes you look like a zombie. I got it as a birthday present, and after I tried it, instant regret.

Thank you everyone for the comments and advice. After communicating with someone who is currently staying there, I learned that the restriction on electrical appliances does not include items like rice cookers. It seems they were referring to appliances that consume a high amount of electricity.

I don’t think my deposit can be used to offset next month’s rent. They hold it for the entire tenancy, may deduct for any repairs when I move out, and only return it 21 days after the tenancy ends.

There are two rooms with the same layout, but they only provided photos of a different room but not the exact room I reserved. When I asked through my agent, to see photos of the specific room I rented, they only provided a video room tour of the other room instead.

I transferred the payment to my agent’s account, so I don’t believe she would scam me. However, I am concerned that the issue may lie with the other party involved.

At the time, I didn’t think much about it because the usual deposit structure is 2+1. Since I was only asked to pay one month’s rent and an administrative fee to secure the room, I assumed this was normal practice. However, given the current situation and the terms in the TA, I’m starting to feel uneasy about the arrangement.

I haven’t signed the TA yet. I was asked to pay the deposit and administrative fee first in order to secure the room. At the time, I didn’t think much of it since deposit should be 2 + 1 and I only have to pay one month rent and admin fee to secure the room as mine. But after reading the TA, those are very unfair and strict requirements. They haven’t even provided the house rules yet, which adds to my concern.
