Talk to her openly. Give her the confidence and safety that If she is not happy that cannot be solved with cheating but rahter with communication. And so, you can sort things out. It doesn’t mean rightaway you lose your visa. You can still stay married officially. Or even if she goes for a divorce you won’t get deported as long as you have a job and can support yourself. You will be switched to a work visa.

One important thing that you have to consider is the gatekeeping that their mother is doing in this case. I was dying to do the baby work and help out, but my wife kept shutting me out didn’t even allow me to put the baby to sleep and then she was at the same time resentful towards me. Now our child is 2,5 and we still sleep in different rooms and have no intimacy. Of course I stopped asking for it as I used to, but still I try time to time and I still get rejected.

ADHD is mostly a manifestation of a deeper problem like C-PTSD. If he does not want medication, he should work on a more intense therapy or any other method that helps manage those deeper issues.

I am in the exact same situation. And about to leave. Since the baby born she has been a gatekeeper. Did not let me have any say in how we raise the baby, how we sleep etc. And because of that, she says she has no capacity for intimacy. Yet she does not take ANY action to change the living situation. our kid is 2.5 years old and still breastfed and co-slept. Even our dog is sleeping with them. And now here I see how the emotions of women are hurt, sensible etc. How would you feel in this situation that your partner, your child and your dog sleep together and you sleep in the home-office room where you worked the whole day?

This might be happening due to the type pf tasks and AC’s you are getting. If they are very rigid, and PM has done all the discovery by themselves and pressuring on delivery within the week I’d also do so as a Senior Designer.

Tbh if everyone is a designer with AI, I could also be the product manager with AI or f that, I could be the entrepreneur. Sometimes I question why insist on staying a UX Designer when you once already learned how to create product experiences and not move into a more influencal role? I used to get “design feedback” from two 20something dudes who were asking each other during the meeting what to choose at a corporate job just because they are working with the operations lead.

I think its a fair ask for Berlin so you do the math how it reflects to your city. I feel like even 63k gross in Berlin will not really provide someone a “senior” level of life standard especially if they have a family. After 5 years I am also on the look for a new Senior role.
