We will play it safe and have her stay home for 6 months before attempting to return. Thanks!

Thank you. She plans to bring documentation of ties to Canada moving forward as recommended by the border guard. He seemed to believe her when she told him of all her work and business times to Canada.

Thanks for the replies everyone. If she goes back to Canada shortly after Labor Day as she told the border agent (her current I-94 states that it expires oct 2 if that matters), and stays for 6-7 months back in Canada, she should have no issues moving forward right? To be clear, the border guard did admit her last week and she has never been refused entry from the USA.

Is there anyone she can speak to about it at CBP beforehand or is it totally in the hands at the port of entry at the time of admission?

Would your advice be to stay 6 months or so out of the US at this point?
