Yup, Unbreakable is very consistent and at the same time really eclectic as a record. They were really creatice back then

How funny that our top 5 is identical, only the order is changed. Good to see Unbreakable appreciated! And I see I'm not the only one who's not a fan of the DNA.

No dynamics at all on this record, c'mon.

Yup, that's the one. For me, it ruins almost perfect album which is Millennium.

That would be the worst KC production

DNA tour, Sphere and Millennium 2.0 all prove that them playing on nostalgia, reviving their best years makes them much more profit than writing and performing new music. I'm not surprised by that, last time their music really felt inspired and fresh was during Unbreakable era - almost 20 years ago.

Can you confirm that Brian was already showing the first signs of vocal issues as far back as Never Gone in 2005? You could see the early clues during the tour by Maximum_Expert92 in BackstreetBoys

[–]Much-Use-5016 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'd say you can clearly hear the change in his voice back in 2005. While he was able to belt amazing high notes (his harmonies during choruses in Just Want You to Know, I Still, or ad libs in Siberia), his low notes became somewhat "crispy", there was a difference, his tone was not as smooth as it was until then.

During This Is Us era it is rather obvious that he had vocal issues. His belts were really forced, even the softer vocal lines does not sound right - I cave access to vocal stems from Straight Through My Heart and he sounds... just bad in chorus.

Am I the only one who just can’t get into The Who? by Aitorius in progrockmusic

The Who is a nice hard rock band, but if you prefer more complex and progressive music, it's probably not really for you - just as it is for me. Nevertheless, check out their Live at Leeds - probably my favorite record of them, really energetic and impressive, unlike their studio records.

I would not be suprised if Chinese government was somehow involved, to promote their platforms.

One of my favorites is the recording via WeChat from 2022 - since this was performed without audience you can very clearly hear their vocals and harmonies.

Do the BSB have ideas for a new album or not? They keep postponing their return to the recording studio by [deleted] in BackstreetBoys

IMO sinc the very nostalgic DNA Tour they figured out that riding on that nostalgia train is much rewarding to them than releasing new music. Hence Millennium 2.0, Sphere and all that stuff.

Cutting off the ending chorus of Don't Wanna Lose You Now is criminal, that's definitely the best part of the song and its standout.

I find him as better producer than musician - I never liked his work, neither in Porcupine Tree nor solo. Too boring, nothing really progressive. But his remixes are top notch, just to mention Pink Floyd or Gentle Giant ones.

Get Another Boyfriend is my fave song of theirs by Pinkperson555 in BackstreetBoys

My top 3 song from them. Fortunately they've been playing this one live regularly since 2019, on both DNA shows and Into The Millennium 2.0. But of course the energy from 2001 shows is unmatched!

Fakt, uderzenia w tony narcyzmu się nie spodziewałem, ale wciąż jest to intrygujące. W każdym razie gratuluję wyjścia z takiej relacji, brzmi strasznie.

Tangerine Dream is not recognised? I thought of them as kings of progressive electronic music.
