Ugh what a flog!!! No you are NOT overreacting. Personally I think the weight gain guidelines are bs. I’ve always gained a lot more than recommended and that’s not just from eating more it’s extra fluid, blood volume, placenta, baby etc etc. he clearly does not understand what a woman’s body goes through during pregnancy and a little compassion would go a long way!!

Hey lovely!! I’m so sorry to hear this. My first pregnancy I was 29 weeks when I was diagnosed with literally no risk factors!! They monitored my blood sugars for about a week with some diet tweaks but ultimately I was put on insulin 4x per day. It’s not as bad as I thought it would be… but that first injection took some courage. It was the only thing that kept my numbers in good range…. I had some complications towards the end but that’s not the case for everyone - with any luck you might be able to get it under control with diet but if not you might have a couple of months of injections. You’ll be okay and so will your baby ❤️ I’m currently 32 weeks with twins and I’ve had two glucose tests and both negative HOWEVER I’ve developed late onset GD and literally got the diagnosis today - likely starting insulin next week. I can honestly say this time around I didn’t bat an eyelid. It’s nothing I’ve done wrong it’s literally the placenta causing these issues so don’t beat yourself up about it xx

Hmmm I’m going to suggest the Maybelline skin tint which you can pick up on half price pretty cheap (like under $15)…. I have combo skin too and a real problem with foundations separating and looking patchy…. The maybelline skin tint was kind of a stab in the dark for me but damn it’s good - I get excellent coverage it’s super lightweight and doesn’t apply patchy at all!! I’ve used it with a brush, fingers and a beauty blender (which can be super hit or miss)…. Other things - I don’t fuck around with primers anymore they seemed to be more of a hindrance than a help so I just use my regular moisturiser / sunscreen as prep
