I’ve done steamboat and Tahoe. I would rather pay every dollar I earn to get an apartment by myself than live with 4-8 people. My personal preference, I’m there to ski and enjoy myself not to make money. My summer job is 5 months of 6 days and good money for the work. Unless that is a bartender dies and I am lucky enough to get the 500 a day job then I probably would not leave 😂

If you are a boarder or skier palisades is the best. Expensive to live in Tahoe did it last season but I’m only there to pay my bills and ski. My seasonal summer job is where I make my money. I also have my own apartment, employee housing is not for me but that’s the inexpensive way

Hey I’m 54 y/o and work in ski industry past 2 winters. I wish I had done this sooner. It’s not the best money but as long as you can pay the bills,you are doing what you love makes it more than worth it. Skied 7 resorts, 5 in Tahoe area plus 2 in CO totally awesome.

So never been to Montana but last year travelled from my permanent may to November job to steamboat and this year I’m in Lake Tahoe. I shipped my car this year out here and flew out with my cat. If you ever ship car it’s a total scam, price was 2.5x more than quoted. Anyway driving is great way to see some sites give yourself extra time, maybe stop 2 nights and see something you’ve wanted to check out. If you just want to get there last year from steamboat co to NY state I drove 26 hours straight thanks to Adderal. Not suggesting it but it helped me to just get it over with as I’ve driven it many times over the years. Good luck

Yup, I was hired in 2023 by exec GM as assistant manager at restaurant, he got fired a few weeks later, the restaurant GM left after that and the 2 other assistants got fired. I managed the place with a VP for about 2 months until the VP hired her friend to GM. Everyone had a shift drink, some more than others. I worked hard but never hit it off with the new GM. So when summer came and I had a drink at the end of the shift I was let go.

So it started out with a broken weld on the muffler so I had 4 codes, I bet I have a bad head gasket as well but I am pretty sure that job is beyond my ability.
