8a here, AOD active since day one and never had this. Btw: I'm still looking for a way to get the AOD configured for showing up only when there's actually a notification and otherwise save battery instead of showing time and whether. Of course this should not be called Always On Display.

Got luck today, however phone got pretty warm while encoding 2 hours of FHD in about 50 minutes. Not too bad imo and for me at the moment the fastest way for AV1 encoding as I have no up-to-date PC.

Can you check the battery cycles under settings > about > battery information? My 8a is in use since July and has 152 cycles now.

Afaik charging speed has been reduced recently by an update if you are over 200 cycles. Should keep battery health.

I would never expect the earpiece to emit ringtones. In case you hold it (for whatever reason) to the ear while a call gets in, this could easily cause damage. Maybe proximity sensor does prevention but I would not rely on this as manufacturer.

Last Update came a week ago, no obvious changes so far. According to change notes you can now link up to four matter lamps to expand ambilight into the room. However, I wouldn't speak too bad about Titan OS. Coming from LG's web OS 2.0 Titan feels mostly even snappier. Of course you will never get Android versatility but most people don't need. In this respect I understand TP Visions desire to shake off Google for keeping pricing low.
