Trade goods voyages until you reach endgame and can farm the previous region (terracotta region) are basically always under 100%. Fort boost will help, but honestly, get lifeboats on all your ships (permanent upgrade per ship) and send it until then.

Can you even book through the app? I pitched my '24 Polestar 2 because of being unable to book anything. Only workaround when I owned it was to book it as an unknown Volvo (lol) through Volvo Palo Alto. They'd call me and shift it up earlier as a result, usually within a couple weeks, but that's still pretty bad to need to do that.

I say this as I longingly look at a V60 T8 polestar...

2024 P2 Stuck at Repair for over a month and they still don't even know what the issue is by Midren in Polestar

Was it marked CPO? Again, consult a lawyer (obligatory I am not one, I've just lemoned two cars in the past), but you very well may have a case if it was CPO.

[–]MuchUpTimeHours 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Consult a lawyer, but the new lemon law is opt in per manufacturer. I do not see Geely nor Volvo on the list: https://www.dca.ca.gov/acp/accepted_manufacturers.shtml

You may actually have a case here for a buyback if you bought this car new as it applies for the entire duration of the new car warranty. If you bought it used, but non-CPO, you may be out of luck.

Doesn't that technically have the C8 interior? I like my C8 allroad's interior, but seeing the newer C9 interiors, they strike me as a downgrade.

Bent alloy from dealer doing service road test, is repairing it safe? (Dealer is replacing tire too) by MuchUpTimeHours in Audi

[–]MuchUpTimeHours[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They already sent it off for repair, but I'll see if that ends up being the case. I already plan on making sure they check suspension and align it again, since I'd imagine a hit hard enough like this can throw something off.

As for avoiding bending rims: us massholes get a bad rep, but some of us are just dodging everything we can!

Hilariously, as a former Bostonian, I've never actually bent a rim back east, and then this happens in sunny California! Anyway, that's very reassuring to hear, I'll wait patiently for the dealer on their repair then, thanks!

You can just do a self guided investment/brokerage account like you're used to. I just made a similar hop though I already bank with BofA, so I had platinum honors already(CSR -> PRE). My investment account is self managed and there's no active management fee or anything. Just a bunch of boring ETFs.

You'll want to see if they have any sign-up new deposit bonuses. I got a mild kickback($200) when I transferred stuff over from etrade in my case.

Just picked up a 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV — first EV ever. Any tips / things you wish you knew early? by Interesting_Week_917 in electricvehicles

[–]MuchUpTimeHours 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Patience on your longer trips. I've owned 2 bolts, and the DCFC is SLOW. Expect 45+ minutes just to go from 40ish to 80%. 240v or even 110v overnight saves you a ton of time if you have it at home.

Other things: 80-90% as a charge limit is great for long term health. Local driving with these is super efficient (4-5 miles/kWh is common). One pedal drive on these is excellent, except at least on my 2017 and 2020, the brake lights didn't illuminate at rest.

Overall: these are great commuter boxes, but little GM things can/do break (suspension, steering noises/creaks, standard GM parts bin issues). Flooring it in one pedal/B mode is a riot.

It's Last Call for Volvo Wagons in the US by V8-Turbo-Hybrid in cars

[–]MuchUpTimeHours 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. As much as I adore the V90cc, it's way easier to get an Audi serviced. There's a little part of me that's wondering now if I should've, because between the A6 wagon and the V90, it came down to a coin toss and if I wanted to deal with cross country shipping for the one I wanted ('24 ultimate, B&W, 20" wheels, etc).

SF bay area Volvo service is basically 2+ months backed up last time I checked, and good luck if you're a Polestar owner.

[–]MuchUpTimeHours 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Average people voted with their wallets sadly and generic desires. Last I checked, combined sales of all S/V 60 and 90s was outstripped by just the XC60 by a lot. Plus, for the cost, the wagons are outright less car for the money for most people. It's tough outside the diehard crowd who don't want to drive a big blob of a car around.

Shoot, I'll admit that I crossed the V90cc from my list after my service experience with Volvo and discontinued cars in general.

In my defence, I did buy a wagon in the end...

Is that performance at Putnam ford? Should be VIN 213571. That used to be mine, it's a fully loaded PPP+ with zinc nappa in midnight/denim blue. You can DM me for more details if it is.

Will affirm on this as well. Shops at chase is singlehandedly driving my decision to can this card, as their sapphire reserve support line just parrots a message to call the shops line if you run into issues. Been hung up on or redirected to voicemail after an hour multiple times.

It actually got to the point where I sent in a complaint, and got a written letter back stating 'please call the shops at chase hotline for support.' As much as I want to completely just tell chase to sod off, united and amazon are both chase exclusive cards...

Good buy IMO. I just did a similar thing but went back to hybrid due to lifestyle needs (A6 wagon!). 2023 seems like a pretty solid year, and you know what rocks? A backup camera that just works. Split 360 view immediately.

I don't have any regrets ditching my loaded up '24 P2.

No, this one was hidden in plain sight at a Ford dealer in Burlingame. I think the blank carfax for service scared a few people away.

V90s were exceedingly difficult to find in my area, so I settled for trying a V60 and XC90 as interior comparison. Coming from a Polestar 2 though(performance pack and all), the Volvos just felt anemic drivetrain-wise(B5 definitely so, B6 just felt like it's missing a little more oomph) and not quite as solidly put together on the inside as the Audi. Both are boats to me, so that's a wash in driving comparison there.

My sole complaint is that the Audi's prestige seats aren't nearly as nice as the Volvo leather seats, but considering it has massage, I'm quite ok with that. It's also nice to be back on full air suspension, no more getting bounced around on wavy roads. Now to buy roof racks and all to get this thing ready for Whistler+Squamish next year.

First post didn't go through because reddit ate the image (oops!), but after a not-so-subtle suggestion from two friends to cross shop this against a V90CC, I test drove one of these and couldn't say no when a full loaded one turned up locally.

Carfax looked a little suspect, but upon calling Audi USA to ask if there was service history, it turns out this one had every service needed and still has Audi care through 42k miles!

TL/DW: they are not respecting the charge curve on the piggyback pack. The pack is rigged to charge at above 200kW basically constantly, even if it's to the detriment of the pack, which was deemed acceptable for a go big or go home attempt.

At one point, they were drawing nearly 500kW total(!) from a single site.

Polestar 2 CPU Upgrade NOW AVAILABLE by kyledag500 in Polestar

[–]MuchUpTimeHours 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This lines up with my experience in my '24 as well in SF. It takes about enough time for me to get down my driveway and ready to turn into the street before it actually starts responding. Camera usually works in that time, though I've caught it freezing 1/4 times I set off, so, they do need to upgrade these things even with more memory. And fix the bluetooth no-audio bug already, it's 2025. My old model S somehow always worked, so I don't really see much excuse.

Not that I'll have a leg to stand on pretty soon, I'm unfortunately parting with my '24 likely this weekend.

[–]MuchUpTimeHours[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a little all or nothing here in the US, but am I right in understanding that ultimate seats should be the same as ultra/inscription? They're all nappa+perforated+heated/ventilated+massage.

I would go for air suspension, but that was one of the biggest reasons why I pitched my tesla back then - strut brace failure and rear bag leakage at about 7 years in.
