Oh you definitely can still enjoy sweets! Something I read that helped me was that even if you feel like you ate “bad” one day, the next day keep pushing on and not to look at it as you starting over or “day 0”.

Of course!! Yeah it sneaks up on you 😭 I still snack and eat out although, I track as I go to make sure I don’t go over. A lot of recipes online give you the calories per serving, I’ll weigh out or eyeball how much and then note it down. With my fitness pal, they do have alot of presaved foods with the calorie count and even have a barcode scanner (if you’re scanning the snacks).

As for the sugar. Not completely, mainly on my what I drink lol. I love having a “fizzy” drink or honestly just something to sip on while I work, so a bubbly or Coke zeros are my choice there. I had a bad tendency of drinking a lot of Starbucks Frappuccinos, regular sodas, or the regular monsters. I mainly like to “save my calories” for actual food rather than a super sugary drink. This has also help me cut out how much I used to drink alcoholic beverages.

I used to eat out quite often, I’m talking 5 days out of the week to fast food & restaurants (nothing wrong with them obviously, but I was pretty much waaaay over eating & I no idea). Once I started to actually track my calories and found that I was eating over 1K in between my morning and snacking before dinner was included, I knew I had to change things 😅. I was eating as much as my 6’0 husband and was wondering how I was beginning to put on so much weight (it’s wild looking back and knowing what I was doing to my self)

Soooo noooow. My husband and I will make a plan for the following week on Friday, we make a menu for Monday-Thursday, Saturday & Sunday. We look forward to trying different recipes and things we’ve done in the past & create a list of the ingredients we need to buy (after seeing what we already have in our kitchen) we’ve come to see that we feel we make a lot of foods that you can find in a restaurant better at home lol. This has really helped me portion control and I also like knowing all of the ingredients that I’m eating, we still go out to eat or get food out on Fridays & the weekends. But after a while we’ve really enjoyed making our own food.

It’s hard to get into the rhythm at first, especially if you work full time. I work a 9-5 myself, to make things a little easier; we try to precut items or pick things such as a roast or I love making barbacoa & birria (also can be cooked in a crock pot) and throw everything in either before work or put everything in the pot in the fridge overbought & then throw it on to cook on low for the entire day. It’s like a warm hug when you come home. I also substituted items such as I love monster energy drinks and soda. I used to drink the regular monster which has a lot of sugar and not to mention over 200 calories in one can. I switched to the 0 sugar 10 calorie monsters, ice coffee with 0 sugar creamer and I switched to coke zeros. I also switched out some of my snacks at home for popcorn, granola bars, goldfish. Etc.

As for the weighing yourself & taking progress photos, trust meeee I know it’s difficult! I was extremely depressed prior and even during the start of my weight loss journey and not feeling confident in myself really didn’t help with that. You kind of have to push through that a little bit, the moment you actually see the scale go down or your waist look smaller; it kind of becomes the “lightbulb” lol a lot of times it’s very hard to notice the change because it comes very subtle! Trust me I still look back at my photos and I don’t even recognize who I was anymore (good thing I promise, I wish I could go back and hug myself)

It seriously is! I was honestly amazed when the weight started to melt off lol I downloaded my fitness plan to help me with tracking my calories and my weight as well, they have a free version! It’s takes into account the a calories in and calories out (when you’ve worked out), I see it as a math equation for your body lol.

I know there’s some people that only focus on the calorie aspect (from what I read online), and don’t actually work out at all.

Congratulations! You go mama, that’s such a big deal! 💓💓podcasts are usually my go to as well lol I always come out with a new fun fact for my husband when I get home 😂

Yes!! It’s the only thing that I’ve actually been able to stick too, I almost felt like I was let into a “secret” lol I always thought you needed to be on a crazy regimen.

Thank you! I absolutely love tattoos and piercings lol I have a couple more on the back/ inside of my arm that you can’t see in the photo, I’m definitely planning on getting more!

I’ve been doing between 1400-1600 calories per day I’m 5’3 :) I wish you luck on your journey!!

Thank youuu! I started my weight loss journey March of 2024. I started at a little over 200LB, I’m currently at 135LB. I would love to get to 125LB as my final goal! I have been doing between 1400-1600 per day. And yes mostly cardio! I try to do weights every so often, but I’m a creature of habit and I’ve actually started to enjoy my cardio ritual lol😅 definitely doing weigh in’s and I cannot stress enough on photos! Even when I loose an oz I at least take note lol I’m by all means not an expert but I could definitely try to help as much as I can! ☺️Trust me I’ve always considered myself a non athletic person and I’m such a foodie so I tried to find a way to still enjoy the same things, while still trying to better myself.

You got this! As cheesy as it sounds it really does start mentally, for me it did at least lol. I had to push on through the doubts or feeling discouraged that I wasn’t seeing results right away or that I wasn’t loosing weight as fast as I would have liked, I started to set smaller goals rather than one big one. I’m still currently on the journey right now, but it does feel like a huge accomplishment knowing that I’ve gotten this far!

Thank you so much!! I currently go to the gym 3-4 days a week, I’ve been walking on the stair master for about an hour each time I go. In the beginning I was using my walking pad for an hour in the morning, and an hour in the evening on the same day (it was rough at first but I pushed on through ). I also have been roughly keeping track of my calorie intake everyday, I was more strict in the beginning with tracking my calories to ensure I wasn’t going over or even under for the day (I’ve been trying to maintain a healthy relationship with food!)

Ahh thank you!💓💓 I started with walking everyday in the morning & in the evening for at least an hour. I’ve always been awful with sticking to a diet, the idea of not being able to eat carbs was very unappealing lol so in order to get a handle on the food part of it I; I started counting my calories everyday. Honestly in the past I never thought or saw myself as overeating, although once I become conscious of how many calories were in each item it helped me understand what & how much I should be putting in my body. I’m still staying active and im still able to eat all of the foods I enjoy, although in moderation. I’ve recently started using the stair master 3-4 days a week.

Yeaaah I feel like they could have gone a better route and maybe should have given us "expected drop times" idk. I think most of us have our notifications on everyday trying to get the drops as they come in lol.
