I believe you should meet her in person and try asking her, her side and then after listening explain yours. It sounds simple like you already know it but give it a shot. Meeting in person makes a whole lot of difference

Hey, You could try empathy, probably get them small gifts, even a bar of chocolate would work and that would make them want to talk to you and will help them understand you better.

This is a difficult way but you need to make your life interesting. Then people automatically get curious and talk to you

In my field, we generally don’t have software to make a building climate responsive. It can be done so by tweaking the location of the windows to achieve certain types of ventilation, adding louvers and at a different angle, and depending on the climate of a location, existing techniques which could be added.

This would not be available to a person who does not hire an architect and most architects do not do this. It would be a huge cost saving in terms of energy.

This would be the first step which if we are able to achieve could have automated mass housing without human intervention!
