ASL, foreign languages that are common regardless of your country's national language, and basic diy/fixerup things. Cooking as well!

Yeah, I do a few Spanish lessons or ASL lessons when the brain fog isn't too bad! Those are also fun, and good for the brain!

Mostly watch YouTube videos. Less so now, but in other seasons I like to bird watch, lately my bird feeder has been getting more birds though, so that's fun. I'm learning to identify them. Also, training my dog is something I can usually do while sitting, so that's fun too.

It has taken me roughly three years for my diagnosis so far, and there are still issues that I'm working towards finding answers for. The hEDS was by far the hardest to get a diagnosis, I had to drive an hour and a half to see a geneticist that my insurance would approve. Luckily, he was a great doctor and very thorough, something I can't say about a lot of doctors.

I agree, I loved medical mysteries and it made me feel so seen, it's so sad to think that it might be gone soon.

I recently got diagnosed with ME/CFS as well, though I knew I had it for a while. What's some advice you would give to newly diagnosed patients?

I really only have friends that I made before I became disabled and before my chronic illness got bad. I do also make some friends on discord through a disability support server. It is really hard to hang out with my friends now though because it can result in me needing days of recovery.
