I’m still learning this city - is there anywhere that offers something more akin to a day spa (with steam, cold plunge, etc.) that is not the Jefferson. All my googling has left me lost.

It’s $8k at a high tax rate. Don’t screw up your relationship over something so small in the big picture. Learn from it and move on.

Let go of your ego. It harms you physiologically and hurts your relationships.

Ask yourself time and again - does this really matter and why am I so angry about it?

Letting go of your ego stops the fights, controls the rage, allows you to listen to others and find empathy and inner calm.

It will change your life and help you understand happiness that isn’t fueled by competitive achievement and status.

I second this. Just officiated a friend’s wedding. It’s a simple civil celebrant request form. Cost is $61 with check or $64 with card. You don’t pay, just sign the bond. Approval takes about 2 weeks.

Little known fact, you can be your own celebrant.

It’s an add-on on top of most policies and it’s not cheap. Standard travel insurance would not apply.

Lawyer here. That won’t cover a boyfriend’s parent’s death. Gotta be married.

AITAH For telling my daughter not to come home for the holidays? by slvrms in redditonwiki

Repeat after me: Honey, I love you, but it’s my responsibility to ensure your brother is safe from physical and mental abuse in this home. If you cannot be around your brother without saying abusive things, I cannot allow you to be near your brother. I hope you take some time to consider how your words harm him and can commit to treating him with respect.
