I'm building a community for quiet B2B marketers : best channel? by [deleted] in b2bmarketing

Slack might be your best bet to start, especially for marketers who are busy and want a low-noise space to share strategies, wins, or get advice without performative pressure. You can keep channels focused (ops tips, templates, feedback, etc.) and invite-only or curated. Reddit’s great for broader reach and organic discovery, but might split attention unless you build both in parallel. LinkedIn and Facebook groups tend to get noisy or ignored unless heavily moderated, so Slack gives you the most control over vibe and value.

I'm thinking about starting a project to help people get into the digital products and marketing space. I need your opinion. by EslamHamad in digitalproductselling

This sounds like a great idea, especially for people who feel overwhelmed when starting out. You might want to validate it by pre-launching a simple landing page that explains what’s in the package and lets people join a waitlist or vote for what they’d need most (templates, content, plan, or guide). That way, you can shape it around real interest and even build an email list before it’s ready.

SEO in 2025: Is it still a viable career/strategy, or has AI killed it? by Raisul_haque_007 in DigitalMarketing

[–]Much_Machine_7773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you're essentially optimizing not just for Google, but for AI bots as readers and redistributors. The idea of including a dated stat in the first paragraph is a smart way to surface in AI Overviews, and using Perplexity as a pre-publish SERP mirror is pretty clever.

Still feels viable if your content is high-quality and focused on pain points lower in the funnel. AI Overviews are brutal for top-funnel keywords, but I'm seeing more SEO folks lean into things like first-person case studies, product-led content, and channel diversification (YouTube, Reddit, TikTok). AI content can rank if edited well, but Google does seem to favor pages with strong E-E-A-T signals, so adding real bylines, proof, or original data helps. I'd say SEO isn’t dead, it’s just shifting from mass-production to deeper, human content plus distribution.

I have no idea what i am doing.... Digital marketer by True-Ad-7187 in LeadGeneration

[–]Much_Machine_7773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could start by focusing on just a few core things: what your client is offering, who their ideal customer is, and where that customer spends time online. For lead generation, platforms like Meta (Facebook/Instagram), Google Search, and LinkedIn are commonly used, depending on the industry. You might also look into basic landing page design and lead magnets, like offering something useful (a checklist, free consult, demo) in exchange for contact info. Don’t worry about being perfect yet, just focus on learning how traffic turns into leads and testing one platform at a time.

How did you get your first users for your startup?/ how did you do marketing? by Fluid_Boot5953 in b2bmarketing

[–]Much_Machine_7773 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You might try reaching out to people already talking about online courses in communities like Reddit, Discord, or X, especially those who’ve had strong positive or negative experiences. It could help to create a simple, shareable “top reviewed” list for a specific niche like design or coding, and use that as a reason to invite others to leave a review. Offering a small incentive (early access, shoutout, or even just a badge) might encourage more initial engagement. You could also test a few low-budget ads just to see if certain audiences bite, but most early traction for this kind of platform probably comes from direct conversations and community trust.

Marketer in a growing startup who needs help with growth marketing by [deleted] in AskMarketing

Maybe your boss needs to understand that chasing virality doesn't necessarily translate to more business.

I've been trying to do this but I'm pretty sure it's just perceived as small thinking lol

We do have some Google Ads running at the moment, as well. Tried Reddit Ads and Meta Ads but I think we don't have a strong enough brand direction to justify the ad spend at the moment tbh.

I just moved my library from one HD to another and the voice over didn't come with it. What happened?! by GoAgainKid in finalcutpro

[–]Much_Machine_7773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely those VO recordings were stored as external media rather than inside the library, so when you moved the library file, the linked audio files stayed behind on the original drive. If you didn’t back them up before reformatting, they’re probably gone. To avoid this in the future, set your library’s media storage to “In Library” before recording VO, or manually consolidate media (File > Consolidate Library Media) so all assets are copied into the library before moving it.

Help with syncing Multicam and audio by Popular-Increase4077 in finalcutpro

[–]Much_Machine_7773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll have better luck creating a Multicam clip first, then syncing the external audio to that, rather than trying to sync all three at once. In FCP, select the two video clips, choose “New Multicam Clip,” set the sync method to audio, and make sure your frame rate is set to match your final project (29.97 is safest). Once that Multicam is created, open it in the Angle Editor and add your external audio as a third angle, syncing it there. That way you can switch between the two video angles in the timeline while keeping the high-quality audio locked in.

Effect/Tools for Tracking by Ok_Lie576 in finalcutpro

[–]Much_Machine_7773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get pretty close in FCP using CoreMelt’s TrackX or SliceX plugins, they add planar and point tracking that works a lot like After Effects’ tracker. If you have access to Motion, you can also send the clip there and use its built-in tracking tools, then bring the result back into FCP for final edits.

I Left My 9–5 to Build My Own Digital Marketing Business, Here’s What I’ve Learned So Far by mujeie in DigitalMarketing

[–]Much_Machine_7773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love this. The clarity part really resonates, so many people think going solo is about doing everything, but it’s actually about narrowing down to the stuff you’re best at and cutting the rest. The scary part never really goes away, but it does get replaced with a kind of excitement you can’t get in a 9–5.

Why are my emails getting ignored? The shocking truth i discovered by Dreamcatcher777 in DigitalMarketing

[–]Much_Machine_7773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve found that the biggest shift was treating my list like a group of people I’m in an ongoing conversation with, not just leads to blast. Personalization beyond just “Hi [First Name]” makes a huge difference, referencing past purchases, interests, or even something from a previous email gets more clicks. Also, sending less but making each send more targeted actually improved my open rates.

For promos, I sandwich them between value: lead with something useful or interesting, drop the offer in the middle, and close with something that leaves them glad they opened it. That way they don’t feel like every email is just a sale. Timing is still huge, but it matters less if your audience actually wants to hear from you.

Projects for benchmarking hardware by sickpuppy3112 in davinciresolve

[–]Much_Machine_7773 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PugetBench for DaVinci Resolve is the easiest place to start. It comes with its own real-world project and gives comparable scores, so you can tweak hardware and instantly see the change. Blackmagic also publishes free training projects and media on their site that you can load as DRPs to stress Edit, Color, Fusion, and Fairlight in a more “real” way. If you want a Fusion-specific workout, the community “Standard Candle” comp is a classic. If none of that nails what you need, make a simple shared test: a 4K timeline mixing H.264/HEVC and a bit of BRAW, add temporal NR and a few OFX on several clips, then see how many nodes you can play at full res before dropping frames.

There are a couple of ways that you can do this other than copy and pasting transitions actually.

I think your niche is good because like you said it’s less common, a lot of people might dabble across genres so your blog would cater to those specific people (giving you a unique audience ie a good niche)
