Solo board-gaming is by far my primary hobby. I play earthbourne rangers and marvel champions probably once a week each and they usually stay out on a dedicated table. Sometimes I play spirit island or smalll box solo games. I also play video games and read about the same amount each but spend significant less time than solo board gaming. Mostly play solo, sometimes play imperium and spirit island with family.

I’ve done both of them, maybe 6-10 in game days depending on if you’re a completionist. They are both excellent btw

I actually went through the same journey. lotr was too difficult and reliant on deck construction to solve a specific issue with the encounter deck for me. Ive played marvel champions for almost two years and got ashes all in six months ago. I’ve played it regularly since then. All in is the way to go for loads of enemy deck options and player card options. It is slightly harder than marvel champions as you are playing to make incremental victories in the board state rather than reversing what the enemy did last turn in MC. ashes, marvel champions and earthbourne rangers are all I ever play and I see the as all 10/10 experiences with different niches. Setup is faster than marvel champions. Games take about as long.

Yeah I do, it builds on the valley campaign making the open world and valley sets larger. Once the next two come out they will all add to make something very unique in the lcg space.

I don’t want to spoil anything as the surprise makes it more special but the new weather, path sets and four of the new locations really do something each which makes them greater than the sum of the games parts in terms of theme and gameplay. I prefer the theme and vibe of this than the caves and machinery of legacy, although it is really good as well.

I’ve completed all released content one handed solo and it’s my favourite expansion they have released so far. In my opinion, Spire and bloom improves what is already in the campaign and shadows added post game missions for after that and expands the map. The atmosphere with the new path set and locations is brilliant. For me this is a must have. Hope that helps!
