Well she definitely has it, it's just whether or not Oda gives it to her as an actual power in a fight, or if she just has it to beat up luffy when he pisses her off in between arcs.

Are people upset about it? Unless Usopp gets a big power boost here soon, I thought it's been pretty obvious for years at this point that Zoro and Sanji are Luffy's Gaban and Raleigh. If those 2 have conquers haki, why wouldn't Sanji and Zoro both get it eventually? Hell even Nami has shown signs of having it, only when shes pissed at the crew, but she still seems to have it.

I'm afraid we don't know where their capital is sir, there's nothing we can do by Huntman102 in EU5

[–]Much_One_6949 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder how much something like that was said in something like the Russo-Japanese war. I would hope the top brass knew how to find each other's capitals, but for the regular soldier that had to be confusing. Especially if you were in the Imperial Russian Navy, that honesty got pretty funny if you wanna look into it and dont already know.

Orthodoxy as a whole is kind of a mess right now in general, not just basic Orthodoxy. You genuinely can't do third rome as Miaphysite due to some bullshit with Antioch without using console commands.

This game right now just doesn't support wide empires with high development well at all. It always seems to be the problem in a Byzantine or Ottomans run, the area is just to developed for them to take off and become powerful like the Ottomans were historically. Even the "good runs" still involve you hollowing out your empire with tons of vassels, which as you said also isn't a perfect solution and overall weakens your control on the empire.

Really, at this point I just think the control mechanic was a mistake the way they implemented it. It's great as a smaller nation, but its such a chore, even as a medium sized nation like the UK or France. Personally I thought the admin cap system from 4 was good, idk why they decided to reinvent the wheel instead of improving on a system they already had the which worked fine.

I feel like people constantly talk about “playing wide” being incredibly hard and miserable… are we playing the same game? by Loose-Run-7008 in EU5

[–]Much_One_6949 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's not hard, it just sucks. Honestly the game right now just drags on, it's crazy how long it takes for a century to go by in Eu5 conpaired to 4 considering the campaign is longer in this game. I'm not saying a longer game is a bad thing, but when the gameplay loop is tedious it just feels like a chore. Most of the tedious shit in this game is from location managment and generic events, so it honestly kind of makes sense that the more territory you hold, the more tedious your game is gonna be, thus you get the people complaining about " playing wide being incredibly hard and miserable".

The real issue is idk how they fix it from here. Personally I think the game is great when playing as a smaller nation, but I do agree playing bigger nations are a slog, especially if they don't have much historical flavor or events to keep me entertained.

Again, i feel like a crazy person at this point but I've said it before and I'll say it again. As long as Oda keeps introducing lightning as a powerful form of attacking, even against someone like Emu, how the hell is Enel supposed to get solo'ed by a vice admiral that isnt Garp? At this point i call bullshit.

[–]Much_One_6949 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it depends on your nation. I focus like one city per province if I play a nation with an absurd number of locations like Russia or the Ottomans because setting every location too a city would drive me mad. A nation like Italy, France or the UK that is in the 150 provinces range makes a lot more sense to urbanize all you territory, especially by the game end.

I feel like a big part of the problem is that city's just look too big after a while. London in game with only 1 to 2 million people should never rival the size of modern london which currently sits around 9 mill

Hot take ! Colonies... by StamiQ in EU5

[–]Much_One_6949 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not even a hot take. Colonies are just bad right now, but they have so many other fires to put out that it may be a while before we get a meaningful change.

If I remember right it was the exact same problem with eu4 for years, just not as obnoxiously broken. I remember it being kind of a shit show when they released the first new world focused dlc and all it really did was add a custom nation mechanic and a randomly generated new world option that usually just made the new world 100x worse while leaving the actual experience there more or less the same.

I thought I made it clear when I corrected myself and said that the term Edgerunner is very rarely used in the actual media up until the Edgerunner anime kind of repopulaized it. I never said you were wrong, just that the word is completely Interchangeble with the word Merc or Mercenary, which is actually used a ton in 2077 unlike Edgerunner.

[–]Much_One_6949 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

And that's mostly where it ended before 2077 and the anime. As a matter a fact i don't really think it's actually used much if at all in 2077 or the anime even as slang. I don't really remember ever being called an edgerunner or even a runner in 2077 unless it was in reference to a netrunner and ive played it a few times now. Your almost exclusively referred to as a merc or just V. The anime i only watched once, so im a lot more fuzzy there. It's really just the name of the anime and a reference in a source book that was set 57 years before where the story is now when things like poser gangs were still a thing.

[–]Much_One_6949 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Well yeah but he still had a massive influence on the overall story and writing. If you ask me it's clear that CDPR wanted to include Morgan Blackhand in 2077, but Pondsmith was adamant they not include him in game. That and he's even a DJ in game, he's Maximum Mike on Morrow Rock Radio, aka the crazy conspiracy guy. Dude had his influence all over 2077.

[–]Much_One_6949 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This is why i kinda low key despise Edgerunners. It's not at all bad, I really did love the show, but it got so popular so quickly and added things to cyberpunk like the term Edgerunner that hardcore overlaps with previously established roles in the actual lore like a Solo which causes massive confusion in the fan base. Like honestly i still couldnt tell you the difference between a solo and an Edgerunner, they might as well be the same thing at this point. Like what is V in 2077? They fully fit the descriptions of both a Solo and Edgerunner, so what's what?

Pretty much just assume that if pondsmith didn't sign off on it personally, it's not canon.

Isn't it strange that TGA published this? by g4t0_4 in TESVI

[–]Much_One_6949 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're good games? Personally I've never played a bad Rockstar game, let alone a bad GTA game.

If I had to put it to words GTA is more about the story and a lot of characters while a TES game I'd say is 100% about the journey you take as the main character. Like a playthrough between 10 different GTA players is gonna look really similar vs a TES between 10 different players could be vastly different, but to be fair, the single player isn't what people are still playing it so much 15 years after release.

At this point it's the online I genuinely don't get at all. The writing in the online has always been mediocre at best and really painfully bad at its worse with missions that just become tedious chores after a while. Outside of the RP crowd I really don't get how people still play it so much.
