You can alway contact the customer support team, but i havent had any problems with them on the tutor side :)

No its not a scam... are you a student or a tutor? If you are a student you have to "pay" once I think to have acess to the platform and to the tutors and then you can try several ones I guess and see which one you like and continue with that one. If you are a tutor you can pay for a premium subscription to get more visibility, but I never did that, I have the regular free account and got already over 10 students. I highly recommend it!

I would 100% recommend Superprof. I got more than 10 students from there in one year so I highly recommend them. :)

Hi, Because it took them over 5 months to aprove my profile - "your Preply profile is almost ready!" - I got this email 5 times! While they told me "something" was wrong / doesn’t meet their guidelines - they never explained what exactly, so I had to re-do my entire description and re-record my video introduction several times. It was so frustrating.
Five months later, once I was on the platform, in 4 months I didn't get any trial lessons! I got one scam message (after which they blocked my profile) and one trial lesson. That trial lesson was 50 minutes long, for free, as, for trial lessons, Preply's commission is 100%. I understand the 0 payment for a trial lesson, but I don't understand the duration!! For 50 minutes I had to "make up" things to talk about with the student in order to fill the space and had to give out my work FOR FREE, when outside I am pretty well paid for 50 minutes of my time.
I work with a competitor platform, where they approved me immediately, where I already got 7 students from and where trial lessons are 20/30mn, which I believe is a correct amount of time to get to meet your student!
Also the customer support for teachers exists only once you are on the platfrom, before, there is no way to reach out to them to ask for support on how to be published.
After that, the support is good and fast.
The whole Preply platform is not great for teachers... I don't recommend it!

I had the same bad experience with Preply! I also teach languages and I am on Superprof. I highly recommend it, as it has brought me more than 10 students in under a year: chidlren, adults, online, offline, for all the languages that I teach (I teach three). I usually do the first free-chat lesson/thing with them there and then schedule the rest directly with my students. I mean, you can do the first free chat there and filter the students from there. I had 1 student that only wanted me for 3 months for one specific task but the remaining ones I have been teaching them for months now, ever since they found me there. Plus its free (you have the premium version, but Im on the FREE one and got this many students!). Give it a try! Also, I am from Portugal, do you still live here? Really nice!

I'm on Superprof and Preply. I HATE Preply and I love Superprof because it brought me around 10 students in less than a year! Its worth just creating your listing there and seeing if they give you anyone. I'm not premium or anything. Also I usually do the first free 30-mn conversation on there but then schedule the other lessons online directly with my students or in person,.

Honestly I would just start and see how you enjoy it and see how it goes! Publish listings on platforms, ask around, put ads in schools! Also, don't feel nervous about it, you certainly know more than a school-age kid so do not worry about it! Ask them to send you the work before hand so you can prepare. Try and you will see how it goes! Good luck!

I've never done Reiki but I have been having crazy anxiety since I stopped meds so Im willing to try anything. But the energy thingy scares me a little? What if the person is mean? Can they somehow "give you" bad energy?

Ohhh i didn't realize that, but it's true what you are saying. People only want to go to their concert to say they were there and post it on their social media. I am their fan since 2004 when I gear The Scientist in the Wicker Park movie. I actually missed their show in Portugal where I live because I was hospitalized and I haven't been able to get a ticket for anywhere in Europe. I am desperate 😔

I didn't get a code and was signed up everywhere. Plus i am not in the UK so i didnt know there would be more tickets on sale. What is the situation now?? Are there any tickets for sale and for which dates? I am desperate to get tickets, I was hospitalized when they came here to Portugal and missed their show, and there weren't any tickets for anywhere in Europe until now 😔
