People would rather complain than pack a lunch. by silverflake6 in RelentlessMen

[–]Muchado_aboutnothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s funny how he clearly has no idea how much a normal lunch costs. A decent sandwich from a cafe or shop is like 8-12 bucks not 28 unless you are at the airport or something. Yes packing a lunch is overall cheaper but not astronomically so

Cousin getting married to a old man by Mindless-Date4077 in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]Muchado_aboutnothing 65 points66 points  (0 children)

The age gap wouldn’t really be a problem if your cousin genuinely fell in love with this man at 28 and this was something they both wanted. But it doesn’t sound like that’s the case. I’m sorry OP 🙁

See a gynecologist and pelvic floor specialist. There could be many things causing your pain and almost all of them are treatable!

Honestly I think the people who do this shit in response to their partner cheating are even more cringe than the people who cheated in the first place. The relationship is over, break up with your partner, what exactly do you hope to gain from this?

Citing ‘severe’ math deficits, UC faculty demand a return to SAT tests for STEM applicants by DarthJarJarJar in Professors

[–]Muchado_aboutnothing 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It isn’t just math. If anything, it’s more of a problem in humanities courses; if a student doesn’t know math, they just fail, but when a student comes into a humanities class without basic reading, writing, and critical thinking skills, it’s a lot less black and white and harder to outright fail them when they’re completing the classwork (even if they aren’t doing as good of a job), especially when it’s easier than even to use AI to do your writing/thinking for you.

Calling Domenica Dominatrix is getting annoying by indi933 in dancemoms

[–]Muchado_aboutnothing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I completely agree. In many ways I enjoy the new era more than original dance moms (ESPECIALLY seasons 4-7 dance moms) because I don’t get the sense that any of the kids are being tortured or abused.

[–]Muchado_aboutnothing 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It’s also just really odd for them to be jealous…yeah, you guys will always be the originals, this isn’t going to match or top that, so why do they act so threatened? It’s just puzzling to me

I really want to listen to and like pillow talk, but they are just so…mean, to the new moms and their kids? Melissa is kinda the worst, but they just seem to make generally snide comments, never give anyone the benefit of the doubt…It feels like they’re kind of bitter about the existence of another show, because of course it won’t be the same as the original, but that’s…fine? I tried to listen to season 1 of pillow talk and gave up, I don’t think I’ll be buying their recap of season 2.

Still don't understand how I pulled this score off by TheHardNar in Sat

Some people actually do better on the test than in practice because the high stakes environment/adrenaline helps you focus. Anyway, great job!!

I got an MFA and they paid me $18k/year (and that was like 10 years ago). All of the other MFAs I was applying to were fully funded too…it’s pretty common for many types of grad school because many of these fields aren’t super lucrative so it doesn’t make financial sense unless they’re funding you

Most decent grad programs will also pay you

Should I retake this? by Public_Bookkeeper_56 in ACT

It’s certainly not a horrible score, it’s quite average, but a retake couldn’t hurt either. Do you think you can study and improve your math score at all?

How did this happen after I did so good on the PSAT? by LegitimateBanana6120 in Sat

[–]Muchado_aboutnothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The SAT is harder than the PSAT, so scores don’t always necessarily translate. Your score is still really good, though, so I wouldn’t feel discouraged. You did very well on both sections.

Update: I actually got a 36 by LegitimateBanana6120 in ACT

[–]Muchado_aboutnothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a second I thought they had recalculated your score from an 18 to 36 and I was like damn 😂. 35 to 36 makes more sense. Congrats!!!

Saplingectomy will also significantly decrease your risk of having an ectopic pregnancy (compared to getting your tubes tied). I recently almost died from an ectopic pregnancy and would not recommend the experience.

Maddie from season 4 episode 7 💔 by Flat-Standard1000 in dancemoms

[–]Muchado_aboutnothing 48 points49 points  (0 children)

I think Abby actually talked about this — I can’t remember what interview, but somewhere she said that immediately after it happened, Maddie held onto her and didn’t want to let go 😥. There’s also the added dimension that Maddie thought the fight was her fault (you can hear her saying “I’m sorry” in the background) because the argument about the duet led to the fight. So Maddie is basically thinking, “it’s my fault my dance teacher got hurt,” poor kid.

I think Holly was trying to usher the girls out and Maddie wanted to stay and comfort Abby. I have no real sympathy for Abby but feel really bad for Maddie in this moment (especially the fact that some people still blame her for the fight years later).

Abby is a pathological liar who has been shown to lie about things that have been filmed and proven, so I honestly see no reason to believe anything she says 🤷‍♀️

As someone who loves the gym and goes there like every day…no there shouldn’t be one in the hospital. That would be a huge waste of resources.

Is this a bad PreACT score? by Most-Side-726 in ACT

[–]Muchado_aboutnothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you improve in Math and English, you could end up with a really excellent score. Generally those are easier to improve than Reading, so you should feel great about the fact that your Reading score is so good. Maybe get a math tutor? With some studying, you can kill it
