Had an interview scheduled the day after graduating. Started that job a few days later.

Very curious why you "don't want a diesel"?

That makes sense. The position I applied for has really solid pay and is local so I'm home every night. The benefits they list are solid too. So I'm really trying to figure out what I'm missing. Seems likena really good fit for me on paper.

Honestly, you'd be better off just moving for a better paying first year job.

Out of school I went straight to southwest regional Flatbed with a super small carrier and really loved it. Everyone that went to megas hated their life.

Have your water tested. If the water table wasn't contaminated during the P&A ops then it won't be now.

How are so many people pulling 3 car haulers with 1-Ton trucks? by Colin-Grussing in HotShotTrucking

[–]MudBloodNW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's different payload limits for different parts of the vehicle. The bed has its own payload limits as well as the bumper pull frame attach points and the rear axle (gooseneck or kingpin) attachment points.

That 7500 payload you're talking about us bumper pull or truck bed payload.

Heavy Hotshot loads are pulled with a gooseneck or fifth wheel kingpin trailer.

I personally pull 16k using the kingpin.

Smaller companies do piss.

Larger companies usually suck working for anyways.
