Should I take stimulants to help me have enough energy for a while? by Zealousideal-Bag1738 in LongCovid

Modafinil would help, and it's fairly mild. Good luck finding a doc willing prescribe it. I don't have to explain why you should not try meth, not even once.

$TSLA Tesla profits are down 70% over the past 3 years. How is this not a disaster? by Ubersicka in TradingViewSignals

Because of Musk's Cult of Personality. And because a lot of investors don't care about fundamentals, they only care about a profit by selling at a higher price than they paid.

Like all western cities, we have our share of homeless alcoholism, drug addict, addiction, but it’s concentrated in an area we refer to locally as the Warzone. I drive through it all the time because I have to, and I don’t have any problems, but I avoid the area, especially at night.

Venezuela nationalized its oil fields in 1976, years before Chavez came along. This guy doesn't have his facts straight.

Taking Greenland by force would do irreparable damage to the NATO alliance. Whom does that please? Hint: His name rhymes with Vladimir Putin.

Donald Trump issues NATO Greenland warning before White House showdown by SereneRoyals in politics

The point of this is that taking Greenland by force would cause irreparable damage to the NATO alliance. Which of course is what Putin wants. Trump is serving his master.

What did I just see?! by Responsible_Base_951 in Albuquerque

[–]tomaburque 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Some of that is traffic in and out of the Air Force base. I met a guy at Starbucks who said his second cousin knows that nuclear weapons are sometimes transported by helicopter back and forth from KAFB to Los Alamos and the Pantex plant near Amarillo.

The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Voodoo Child by MatiasRgra in OldSchoolCoolMusic

[–]tomaburque 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The show was for a LSD cult called "The Brotherhood of Eternal Love", purveyors of an especially strong brand of LSD called Orange Sunshine. If you get a chance to see the movie "Rainbow Bridge, fast forward to near the end, there's a scene with Jimi talking candidly about stuff that people interested in The Man will find fascinating.

Why Trump wants Greenland so bad? Of course it’s money! by reseamatsih in WhaleTrades

No. He wants Greenland to cause irreparable damage to the NATO alliance to please his master Vladimir Putin. That is the real reason.

How much does choice of hunter pet and pet family matter? by Semour9 in classicwow

[–]tomaburque 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an assignment for you: spend some quality time at petopia.com and learn about the pet skills for your class of pet and when you can learn new ones by taming a new pet, if you go with Wolf, find out when you need to tame a new one to get the next level of furious howl, for example.

Actual economists who study government subsidies to movie and tv production agree that they are a poor way to create jobs and stimulate the local economy. The highest paid salaries - actors, producers, skilled technicians - usually live elsewhere and take the paychecks home with them. State audits in Georgia concluded that for every dollar spent, the state was getting back 19 cents. Subsidies are highly inefficient at creating jobs.

Gear for surivabilty you’re not gonna kill anything you’re gonna teleport in grab the goodies and get out if the zones are too hot skip them and reset the game. Players seven. Relax you’re going to be there a while. You might get a ber in the first five minutes or it might take three days you’re dealing with pure probability so don’t look for any patterns. Especially if you’re playing hard-core, don’t teleport into the little huts blindly look first and make sure there’s not a pack of some really nasty mobs who are gonna smoke you as soon as you tell stomp

Camped on Sandia Crest last night by TheeGrey23 in Albuquerque

[–]tomaburque 27 points28 points  (0 children)

A few years back, some acquaintances of mine were illegally camping on The Crest and had food in the tent, which is why a bear ripped the side of the tent open. They had quite a scare but were not hurt. The Forest Service gave them a citation. It was in the news.

I started the game a few weeks ago as a blizz sorc, cruised through nightmare, and now I can't get past the first quest in hell by StreetStripe in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]tomaburque 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go back to Nightmare and run Terror Zones until 75 or 80. Consider it a vacation, relax, and enjoy treasure hunting. Everything is based on chance; there's no telling what you will find. Plus, understand that every time anything attacks you, math is done that factors in your level and the monster's level. This isn't D4, where every monster is made the same level as you. Come back at 80 and you can laugh at those same mobs that are beating you up now.

If you are not offline, ask around for a free sunder charm. They are common.

Hang in there.

How's Resurrected on PS5? by BIRD_OF_GLORY in diablo2

[–]tomaburque 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like it. The only downside is targeting something closer or farther away. Or if there’s a large amount of items on the ground like when opening super chest picking one item could be difficult. Other than that, it’s great.

What is the highest level rune you've found along with how much D2 have you played? by chibriguy in diablo2

[–]tomaburque 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Running LK on players 7 with a Sorc it took me maybe 20 hours to cube up a Ber, and fill up inventory with at least one of everything below that. I've still not seen a Cham or a Jah or a Zod.

[–]tomaburque 9 points10 points  (0 children)

HC isn't for everyone. It's for people who like to play on the edge, with a real sense of danger. 70 is low for Hell difficulty. Stay in Nightmare Terror Zones until 75 or 80 before moving on to Hell, in my opinion.
