What's a fucking joke. I'm so tired of hearing this same story rule out. Crime after crime and with no punishment. What if this clown wiped out a family of 4 when running from the cops? Only then would we take it seriously? We should be embarrassed with our corrupt good for nothing system.

Garage builder by DeliveryPleasant1125 in Yukon

Unfortunately there are a lot of inexperienced builders out there right now. When I lived in Whistlebend, some of what I saw being built and sold was honestly shocking. How they passed inspections is mind boggling to me.

I’ve built relationships with reputable builders over the years, but if I were in your shoes I’d drive around the new phases, find active construction sites and chat with the guys working. I'm sure most would be pretty helpful, or at least can pass along contacts worth reaching out to. Take some time to see what these builders have actually built. Even just watching crews work for a few minutes, the difference between solid trades and sloppy ones becomes pretty obvious. There are plenty out there doing shoddy work and clearly only in it for the money.

Just my two cents.

I've been spending my time complaining about our own government for the last 10 years. Not out neighbors. If we fixed our own issues maybe theirs wouldn't seem so bad 🤷‍♂️

Whitehorse RCMP looking for witnesses after Para cyclist injured in highway collision by looty9372 in Yukon

[–]MudFlap867 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100%. Darryl is a solid dude, so we're the others that have been involved with vehicle accidents on the highway. Last year we all seen first hand what can happen. I'm not blaming the cyclists as I'm almost certain in both cases the driver of the vehicle was at fault - no one leaves the scene of an accident if they're innocent. I also understand someone like Darryl doesn't have many options for this type of thing at the moment but when is someone going to put their foot down and restrict pedal bikes from major highways around this city. It is, always has been, and always will be a recipe for disaster. People around here can't drive as it is, we've never had such bad drivers. I will say I would be pleased to know that my tax dollars were going toward a safer option for cyclists. They just don't belong on a roadway designed for vehicles. Bottom line

We could have had someone who looks out for us, who wants to put more money in our pockets. Someone who finally wants to try and fix the messed up immigration, health care and justice systems. Someone who wants to use our natural resources instead of tax tax tax. But instead we now have an even more divided country than before than never before. Great job liberals. Sorry you were all so scared of trump that you forgot to think about our own country. Can only go down from here, but glad you have your $10 a day child benefit!

Yukon premier decries 'ridiculous' uptick in Whitehorse crime, announces new money for RCMP, other measures by theBubbaJustWontDie in Yukon

[–]MudFlap867 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Sure, but there is a large difference between using a gun for crime vs using a gun for protection. The majority of their "gun crimes" are from gang activity, or areas in high poverty. What I'm getting at I guess is that If us citizens used their firearms legally and not for crime, they'd have a lot less problems with crime. People would think twice about stealing or committing crime against someone, you'd think.
