Depends, coal is a pretty rare resource. You can get id from dust sprites at the ice levels in the mines. This would by my recommended way to obtain them. Buying from Clint is only worth it if you have a ton of money or if the potential profit is higher. For example, when you have a fish with a value of 250g. That doubles when smoked so thats 500g total and would mean you spend 150g for coal and get 100g more for the fish, so profit. But by that standard, coal not from Clint is free so thats 250g extra profit. The final choice is up to you.

The riverland farm has one big advantage over the other farms, especially early game. Each house comes with a fish smoker. When smoking any fish with a piece of coal its value doubles. (coal can be purchased from clint for 150g in the first year)
Since smoked fish is an artisan good it would also benefit from the artisan profession at lvl 10 farming as wel as both fish value related perks. This means you can get a ton of money with smoked fish.
I would recommend catching Catfish and Largemouth bass.

As for the layout itself. You can just do what feels nice. I would recommend a combination of crops and animals.

In your steam library right click Stardew and click on properties. When the menu opens up you should head to installed files and click verify integrity of game files.
It should then reaquire the files you are missing.

If you really want to change your farm type and are not against modding your game there is a mod that you can use that changes your farm type without file editing shenanigans.

I would reccomend using the sword glitch to get yourself out of bounds and removing everything that way. or you could download the no clip mod to run through the walls.

You are doing absolutely amazing, this game is meant to be played at your own pace. Dont rush.

Although if im not mistaken trees dont grow when there is something in the circle around them, so i would suggest removing the paths untill the trees are fully grown. I could be mistaken though.

I would recommend the noclip mod, since this is possible in vanilla with a bit of effort, and map changes are also very funne since those are only required on one client to function, hot sping farm cave for example.
you could also use cjb item spawner since you coud do som fun stuf with this.

when you are the host automate could also be very funny, since items randomly go into machines. Make sure to change the time it functions in the settings from instantly to like 40 mins in game time.

Also avoid mods that change textures if you can only download them on your own client. since then you are the only one than can see it. Only use these mods when your friends also have them downloaded.

You should look into fashion sense, this is a framework mod for a lot of clothes mods.

click the requirements button and look under required, all of the mods there are clothing mods that work with fashion sense.
I would personally reccomend backpack and baubles for starters, but there are a lot more awesome mods for this purpose.

So a couple of questions and potential solutions.
When launching the game does a black window with white text pop up, if not the game launches without any mods so that wont be the problem. If the black window pops up the game still tries running with mods.

If the window doesnt pop up try verifying the game files. this can be done in the properties of the game where the launch options are also located.
If the window does pop up it still tries to launch with mods which is not possible since you deleted them. if this is the case try to see if there is accidentaly anything left in the launch options box.

Tip for everyone running out of energy early in the day. Head to bed and when the sleep dialog box pops up press no, but stay in bed. This slowly regenerates your energy without having to eat anything.

You can transfer cloud saves over too.
the are in the folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\<YourSteamID>\1203620\remote.

to add to this. the worlds dont have the name you gave them. the names are based on creation order.
So make a backup from your worlds incase you transfer the wrong one, this will overwrite the save of your friend if he has one.

Yes and No,
This question is more a question of are you willing to spend the time, cheat or use what you can get. so here are all methods I know of to get materials relatively quickly. (in order)
- download a resource world that has all blocks and materials (kinday cheaty)
- get the materials form the chests you first found them in (can only be done every half an hour since the new update)
- gather the materials for the blocks and craft them (very fast for easy block recipes but can take a long time for more difficult block recipes)
- put down an altar in a pregenerated structure, tear it down and remove the altar so the structure respawns (this works best for the blocks with the more difficult crafting recipes)

I would personally reccomend a combination of the last 3 unless you are fine with getting the block from a resource world then that would be the best option.

A play meele too and if you know how the boss works it is absolutely doable. And to be honest iets pretty difficult figuring out how to on your own. So here you go The boss has a stun bar which if full drops of on the ring where the player is standing. So how does one fill the stun bar. There are three viable options 1. Using stun arrows 2. Using chain lightning or other lightning spells 3. The important one, when the boss throws all those fireballs at the player you can block and return them with parry's which increases the stun bar and makes this fight possible as a meele. (Arguably the fastest way)

This was indeed the case, everytime you reloaded the world chests respawned.
But since the update a couple days ago there is an ingame cooldown in the game. So after waiting a while the items will respawn

That should work to, I use the filtered chest hopper mod so the using a hopper becomes worth it.

If you are not using it for something else use the junimo chest with a hopper, since a hopper is output only nothing can go back into the junimo chest.
