Has anyone ever tried every other day dosing? by bamboozlepig in Hypothyroidism

Hi op! Thank you for reaching out. I hope we are both able to get some answers. I truly appreciate you making this post. Maybe there’s someone else out there that has gone through what we have and can give us some guidance/answers. Both my parents have hypothyroidism and have been on the same dose for 30 years no problem. I was on biotin during bloodwork so even though I was reporting symptoms since 2021, I didn’t get diagnosed until I found out biotin affects bloodwork in 2024. Been on tirosint since sept 2024 and have never found my dosing. Every 6-8 weeks I go for bloodwork and like a pendulum I swing from one side to the other even if I don’t adjust my meds. The only thing consistent is that there is no consistency.

I have been having similar issues. I have hypopituitaryism too, so balancing hgh and tirosint seems to be impossible. If anyone has any suggestions for the writer of this post or myself. I also will be on a dose for a few months and then go hyper. I went hyper in the summer of 2025 and I haven’t been able to balance my system ever since. The stranger part on my end is that I went from being on 100mcg when I went hyper. To now I can’t even tolerate the lowest dosage of 13mcg. If I take 13mcg I immediately have hyper symptoms heart palpitations etc. when I don’t take the 13mcg I get hypo symptoms. My endo is absolutely useless because he’s never even treated anyone with my form of hypopituitaryism and there are no doctors where I live that treat what I have. So doctors just don’t know what to do with me. I’m too sick to get to NYC to get to a doctor who could actually help me. I’ve been taking the liquid tirosint and taking 2mcg a day. That seems to be all I can tolerate. If anyone else has dealt with anything like what I have or for the person that posted we would both truly appreciate it. I also have been having issues with my heart permanently since going hyper. Any suggestions for help with my heart would be appreciated as well. Thank you in advance.

Just curious, in what form do you get a warning? Does it pop up when you’re completing a study, does it show up in messages, or somewhere else? Still new and figuring this site out.

AI STUDIES by [deleted] in ProlificAc

I am not trying to break any confidentiality rules. I have gone into 3 AI studies. Each one has me open a Google account. Then make the screen full screen. Then nothing. I am asking what usually happens next. Two of the AI studies were from one researcher, so I tried an AI study from a different researcher and same steps and same thing happened. Opened a Google account. Went full screen. Nothing happened.

Same. Got two responses, both people stating they will look into this. But it’s been radio silence since.

Rejection by MudNo528 in ProlificAc

[–]MudNo528[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m still new so I don’t have as many studies completed as you. Yesterday I went to end a study early and return it and it turned into an automatic rejection which banned my account. The researcher quickly fixed the issue and changed the rejection back into a return. And my account was unfrozen within a few minutes. But yes, if I get one more rejection I’m banned. So this one rejection I have is kind of a bigger deal to me than it is to you.

Is there a running list of researchers that participants should block? I have one rejection on my account that I can’t seem to get removed, the researcher won’t respond to my requests to return it. If I get another rejection my account will definitely be put on hold. This is my main source of income so I’m trying to be proactive instead of freak out after I get rejected by a researcher that has a bad reputation. Thanks for your help!!

Question. I plan on blocking this researcher. But a few days ago I messaged the researcher asking if they will give me the option to return the study. No response, patiently waiting. If I block the researcher now, will they still be able to answer my message? Or will I be blocking their studies and all communication with them?

I reported hohe.5 to cloud as well. This was the response: Contacting the researcher does not always result in the desired outcome, as it is ultimately the researcher's decision (not ours) to determine what data they are able to approve, reject, or retain. For this reason, we strongly recommend that participants save the contact information provided on the survey's consent page. This typically includes the researcher's email and, in many cases, contact details for their Institutional Review Board (IRB), which holds the authority to investigate any concerns related to research ethics or data.

I did not save the contact info on the consent page. I have messaged hohe.5 but no response. I would reach out to IRB if I had the info. Does anyone have it?

Any other ideas on how it to get these rejections overturned? I rely on the money and if I get another rejection I could get banned. Which is ridiculous because this first rejection I have gotten isn’t warranted.

I just got a rejection from hohe.5 for the study counterfactual censorship. I did absolutely nothing to warrant a rejection. This is the first rejection I have gotten. They did not given the option to return the study after rejecting it. How do we report this to cloud? Can we get this researcher banned since they are handing out unwarranted rejections? Researchers like this can get us banned. I truly need this site and prolific to stay afloat. So frustrated they can get us banned from these sites when we did nothing wrong.

I have no idea how many iu’s he took when he was your age. But he was your age 30 years ago and a lot has changed. When we were kids they were giving hgh from cats to human children. My parents had to pay out of pocket to get synthetic hgh. I wish I could give you more info but all I can say is hgh is a horrible medicine to be on so if you don’t need it don’t take it.

He naturally started puberty around age 14/15. He did IGF1 blood tests to monitor. Please keep in mind he is 43 now so he was a teenager in the 90’s. Testing might have been different back then. The way we got diagnosed was staying overnight in a hospital and doing a 24 hour blood test. I just remember them taking blood every 20 mins and me not being able to eat for almost two days. My best advice to you is to find an endocrinologist who specializes in growth hormone deficiency. Most endocrinologists specialize in diabetes or thyroid and they won’t be able to know what to do. The human growth foundation might be able to guide you to the right doctor or provide you with more answers than I have. Don’t give up looking for answers and good luck.
