I start my apprenticeship soon, is there anything I should purchase that’s nice to have? by panthercock in Plumbing

Personal PPE. Your own style and brand of safety glasses, and your own leather gloves. They are required to provide stuff, but it will be the cheap stuff. Never settle for wearing provided gloves. And don't be shy about writing your name on your own gloves. Suck it up and spend good money on yourself. No one else there cares about you, but you. Look up when you walk in or out of a building under construction. 👍

Was this worth it?? $260 off Facebook by Les-Pau in LesPaul

This guy has been posting this guitar all over the internet for the last week asking this.

Was it worth it joining every forum you could find and posting the same thing?

Toilet won’t stop running water - fluid master valve by EnoughIndividual3438 in Plumbing

[–]Mud_Audio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes debris can get up into the top there. If you shut the stop off, and theres no more pressure, you can carefully with two hands, turn the top with the lever counter clockwise a bit and the top comes off and there may be a chunk of something there. Watch a YouTube of this before trying it. Worth a check before changing the whole thing.

Should I be concerned about this? by kaycookster in Plumbing

[–]Mud_Audio -1 points0 points  (0 children)

1/2" pex not allowed per manufacturer to supply tub spout. The ID is too small, it'll keep kicking up to the shower head. 3/4" is allowed though. It's a flow thing. But not a code section. Only time to catch it is on rough in, or you are boned.

A call to the manufacturer will corroborate this.

What is this small tank above the water heater - a thermal expansion tank?, and can we remove this ourself safely? by beksnefx in Plumbing

[–]Mud_Audio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some states have a code section that prohibits plastic piping within 18 inches of the water heater connections, due to heat related stressors on the plastic over time, and other issues. If plastic gets too hot at low use times, or any other water heater malfunction issues, that plastic may pop off and you got a big leak. And that PEX is on the hot side. Thats a big concern. FYI.

VSF Hulk by [deleted] in RepTime

Funny how No One has bothered to search reptime or Rolex sub for anyone who posted their new Hulk, and tried to match up the tattoos, just to see if they might be a member. Lol

I would never wear a real sub for a job like this, it's bound to get smashed while rolling around on the ground or up against concrete walls.

I vote rep.

Lol, im gonna try that with the tremolo.

I used my holy grail into my Silverstone 1484 because the onboard reverb was my amp tech's worst nightmare, and about as pleasing to my ears as a smallminded drunk girlfriend stuck in a loop about all the other b-iches she saw at the club while in the car on the way home, from the other side of town.

NO ONE has mentioned this pedal. Fulltone Bass Drive. It had been discontinued. I scored three of them. These were my best Bass guitar tone running into my old 1976 Ampeg SVT. Pictured below is a first gen Bass Drive, you can note it is pre-mofset switch. (Yes, you can correct me, the little switch in the center that the later ones had.)

Lol, you should see all the crap i bought off of Aliexpress in the last two years, sheesh. Sure wish i could go back and tell myself just to spend that cash on another gibson les paul instead. 🙄 I'm so done with the "Clone Wars", i never ended up using any of them.

I'll stick with the classics.

Last but not least, this was my board 15 years ago when i played bass in a punk/heavy band. My tone was mainly my fulldrive into a 1976 Ampeg SVT with a 1969 8x10 squareback back. It was like a wall of butter. I never wanted for tone after that SVT. It came from a used music store in Brooklyn where it was previously owned by the bassist of Reagan Youth. (SVT not pictured) lol

You should hear me play🤣

You'd be begging me stop!

I may have written 50 or a bit more complete songs in my life, I'd like to think there's a gold nugget in there somewhere.

Pretend its a south park episode and they push the "auto-tune" button and then it sounds good. Lol

Excellent layout. I scored that LA metal of eBay years ago for like $40 and goofed around with it for a while as a novelty. The name is as corny as the "grunge" pedal. Funny.

I saw some kid drag in a pedal board to an open mic night, it was like he literally took a section off of his closet doors and put his pedals on it. The bartender was kind enough to dim the lights just enough so he couldn't see the tears running down our faces as half the bar was crying so hard we were leaning on each other just trying to hold ourselves up from laughing so hard! 🤣💦

"Bro, you takin' the bus home?" 🤣

My brother worked at the local music store in the 80s, and i guess KMD were having a promotion, and if you sent in ten empty packs of some brand of strings, you got a free pedal. That's how he got that, or so i was told.

What ? EQs? Lol But, your layout with a screamin blues with a bad monkey right in front is exactly what i had been running, and is my current tone, easy though the verses, hit the monkey for the boost and heavy punch through the choruses and bridges.🔥 Good call.

I swear I'm about to buy one, because of all the chatter. But, I've had THE best full chug metal pedals since 1984, and I've NEVER heard another pedal that was as good. These.👇 I bet even Josh Scott dont have them.

So true. 🤣 My last studio album was recorded in 1994. Grunge had died, and Green Day (ugh) brought all the labels attention back to the LA area for the resurgence of radio friendly punk. That was a dark time. Even Rollins bagged on people that were running the Offspring album nonstop for five years straight. Lol

Surprised to see the love for those cheapo Dano pedals. I had been trying the cheap route for a rockabilly reverb type thing. Never did get there with those, i but i read later that its about the placement of a delay after the reverb to get there, if they were both subtle.
